I liked their design plans, even though I did not end up using them.

We had our bathroom remodeled last week, and after seeing the quality of work, we went ahead and remodeled our kitchen, in time to enjoy for the holidays. Although I have a small kitchen, it made a huge difference in use and efficiency. Removed a non bearing wall for a more open feel. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company and Joe, the field supervisor for all things needing to be remodeled.

I've worked with Joe and his company before. in 2012 I bought my house and  La construction did a complete renovation. Everything was done perfectly to my satisfaction so i decided to hire them again for my garage conversion. As always Joe and his team did a remarkable job of completing the job on time and on budget. I recommend this company to anyone looking to remodel or renovate hustle free.

Purchased a house that was a short sale. Needed a lot of work. I interviewed several different contractors. Felt comfortable with Joe. He understood the look we wanted to achieve for our new home. Gave us his cell number from the beginning. Was here everyday and 
Flooring- Removed the old pink carpet and had the wood floors sanded dark brown.
Kitchen- Completely gutted it. New everything
Bathrooms - Completely gutted it. New everything
Room Addition- Extended the entire back of the house, including our master bedroom and the living room. Everything from flooring,and electric was added. Joe included a computer layout for us to see how it would come out before he started.
Overall, GREAT experience. The look of our new home came out better than we had hoped.

State wide demolished my old cabinets, countertops, and old tile flooring. During this time, Joe and I had time to go over many designs via a 3d computer layout. We chose the color of the cabinets, and where we wanted them placed. His crew is professional and knew what they were doing. Each step was like lego. Everything came together smoothly. Great people to work with.

We found the owner to be a little bit pushy and we didn't feel comfortable with them, so we didn't use them for any other service. They gave us pictures of what the kitchen would look like.

He did not provide any information for us that was useful and basically did not have any reconfiguration suggestions for our kitchen. It was not very helpful appointment.

Joe was a pleasure to work with. We chose to have a differently paint style and technique for each of our rooms. Venitien plaster for the living and dining room. Suede paint for the entry and family rooms. Everything came out beautifully.

The overall experience was simple and painless. After a long talk
with Joe from state wide construction, we had agreed to meet in order for me to
get an estimate. After going over all the details of the job, a contract was
signed and work and payments dates were set. Everything worked perfectly like clockwork.
The job was complete on the day it was promised and as i mentioned before,
completely within my budget. The results of the job were amazing. My old 1948
house turned into a warm updated version, having all my expectations met on the
highest of levels. Thank you state wide for making this adventures a good one.
 

I bought a new house and I needed to have it completely remodeled. I was looking for a contractor for a long time but I didn't feel comfortable with any of them. a friend of mine who used  State Wide before to remodel here kitchen gave me their number and I gave them a call. Joe the supervisor came to my house the next day for a free estimate. We talked about everything that needed to be done in my house. I felt very comfortable with him, he gave me a good price for the complete remodel and because my friend kitchen came out so good I decided to go for it. He was at my home every day and on top of all the details.

Had a horrible experience and will not be using this company to re-design and remodel our kitchen. Purchased a $49 deal from Angie's List for a 3-D remodel of our kitchen and never got it. Salesman came to our house and looked at our kitchen and told us any remodel would cost $60,000.00 We explained that our budget was $30,000.00 and we were even willing to take a rough cut remodel and finish everything we could ourselves, or were even willing to take the remodel in stages. The entire time the sales person "asked" us if we were willing to finance the cost of a $60,000.00 kitchen and we repeatively said no, that we were planning on using cash and sticking to our budget. Well, guess the salesman did not like our answer. He told us our 3-D design would be ready in one week and left. He never called or emailed us back and we never received our 3-D design. Guess he wasn't interested in our business because we were not interested in a loan. Our $49 dollars was pretty much stolen. So unprofessional.

They did a fine job. I got what I expected, a 3D design and recommendation to change the layout of my kitchen. They were very competent, polite, showed up on time and called.

My overall experience with them was excellent. They were knowledgeable. But, we were not comfortable with the estimates so we chose another company to do the job.

I think the message on services performed covers this as well.

They're just great. I'm so happy with them. The job is is just great. They did the job professionally and fast. They met all of my expectations. I am absolutely happy. I would recommend them to all of my friends.

I have had a great experience with them.  I searched a lot for a good contractor.  I met the actual owner and he supervised the work.  My kitchen is beautiful!  I recommend them because you can feel how honest they are and how they care about the customer.  They drew up plans for me and showed me samples.  I wasn't happy with one of the colors and they were very gracious about changing it for me.  They were kind and understanding about the fact that it was my kitchen being done and that I need to love it.  And I really love it now!  I can't wait to start my bathroom with them at the end of the month.

JAKE ARRIVED A FEW MINUTES BEFORE OUR APPOINTMENT TIME. WE PROCEEDED TO TELL HIM THAT WE WERE INTERESTED IN NEW GRANITE COUNTER TOPS, NEW CABINETS AND POSSIBLY A BUILT IN DESK.  WE ASKED HIM FOR IDEAS, WHICH HE DIDN'T SEEM TOO INTERESTED IN RACKING HIS BRAIN FOR ADDING ANYTHING NEW TO WHAT WE WERE INTERESTED IN.  I TOLD HIM THAT I WOULD LIKE SOMETHING LIKE A LIGHT OAK  WOOD FOR THE CABINETS, AT WHICH TIME HE DID SHOW US SOME DIFFERENT CABINETS IN THE PLACES THAT HIS COMPANY APPARENTLY HAD WORKED ON. THAT WAS THAT.  HE DID NO MEASUREMENTS AND PROCEEDED TO GIVE US AN ESTIMATE FOR $31,000. HUH? WHAT? WHEN I ASKED HIM TO SOMEWHAT BREAK THAT NUMBER DOWN FOR US, HE STARTED WITH ROUGHLY 6 GRAND FOR DEMOLITION.
I THEN INQUIRED, "DEMOLITION FOR WHAT?" WE'RE NOT HAVING NEW FLOORING INSTALLED, NO WALLS KNOCKED DOWN, IT WOULD MAINLY BE TEARING OUT THE OLD CABINETS AND COUNTER TOPS, IF THOSE EVEN HAVE TO BE REMOVED. HE ASKED ME WHAT AMOUNT WAS I THINKING AND WHEN I TOLD HIM, HE SAID,"YOUR KITCHEN LOOKS FINE NOW, YOU MIGHT AS WELL LEAVE IT LIKE IT IS.".  BY THAT TIME HE HAD LOST INTEREST IN US AND WE SURELY LOST INTEREST IN HIM WAY BEFORE THAT COMMENT.  IT WAS A BIG MISTAKE ON MY PART FOR PURCHASING THIS "DEAL", BUT I DID EXPECT MORE FROM A COMPANY THAT I ENCOUNTERED SOLELY FROM ANGIE'S LIST. 

UPON HIS LEAVING, BEING THERE, AT MOST, ONE-HALF HOUR, HE BASICALLY WAS SAYING HIS GOOD-BYES AND WALKING OUT THE DOOR.  I WAS THE ONE THAT REMINDED HIM ABOUT THE 3D DESIGN  I WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE AND HE REPLIED I WOULD RECEIVE IT VIA E-MAIL IN TWO WEEKS. THAT WAS SEPTEMBER 12TH AND STILL WAITING..........BUT DON'T REALLY CARE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER.  IF I DO NOT RECEIVE IT WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO, I WILL NOT BE CONTACTING STATE WIDE DIRECTLY BUT WILL CONTACT ANGIE TO STOP SENDING ME THESE SPECTACULAR DEALS!!!

I called prior to the coupon expiring and asked if they could fit me into their schedule which I appriecated.  They agreed to set up an appointment for Sept 17th.  I received a voicemail on Friday Sept 16th stating that the appointment might take longer than 1.5 hours that we had previously discussed and said that we should probably reschedule.  I wasn't able to receive the voicemail until after business hours and when I returned the call there was no answering machine to leave a message.  I took it as that the appointment was canceled and I would call on Monday to reschedule.  I had a couple of errands and appointments to run on Saturday and since I didn't think they were coming from the voicemail I wasn't home.   When I arrived home, there was a gentleman waiting for me.  He was nice about the situation and said that he actually lives in the area.  He said he had left a card (which it was there) and came back.  They did have my cell phone number and never called.  When the consultation started, I told them that I would like to convert my garage into a room and that's what I requested the 3D design to be done on.  The gentleman provided his opinion on not converting the garage and building an addition and I appriecated the advice but I wanted the 3D of the garage.  He continue giving his consultation about the garage vs. new addition and he answered a lot of my questions but kept pushing towards not converting the garage.  He also stated that he was unable to do the 3D design because he was just the builder and the computer guy was here earlier but had left.  As the consultation was winding down I asked if he wanted to take measurements for the garage and new addition but he said that he could do it all on the spot.  I still asked about the 3D design and he insisted that it wouldn't work for just a bare room even after I told him that I purchased the Big Deal for the 3D design.  He didn't offer anything in writing for a quote and when I asked about the written quote, he gave me his card and told me to call him when I was ready to do it.  I thought the pricing was very high but didn't want to express it to him in person.  I just thought the whole experience was a little different and unprofessional.

They said they would come to my home on three different dates but they never showed up.

Jack the Designer was very pleasant and professional. He was patient with all my questions and did offer suggestions.

However, I was under the assumption the design would include measurements. It did not. Also two days later I went to Lowe's and they offered to do the exact same design service for FREE!!! without obligation to purchase anything.

So needles to say I felt like I paid $49.00 to get a pricey estimate from State wide Construction.

I cannot comment on the quality of their work because they did not do any work in my home.

They did the estimate then forgot to email me the drawings and quote. I chased them three times but they couldn't get my email correct until finally they sent me the drawings but no actual quote to do the work.

What I liked from the beginning is that they offer a free in home estimate and consultaion. So I scheduled an appointment. The representive that came to my home took his time to listen and explain the entire process. They understood my vision form the beginning. To me, the idea of transforming a garage with exposed wood beams and no electricity or plumbing seemed like a daunting experience. But to State Wide it was like a walk in the park. The entire process was much smoother than I expected. I am thrilled with the results. : ))
