Libby's Vintage Home & Garden

I contacted Libby and her partner Dave when in the middle of an exterior gate installation we discovered two water pipes would need to be cut - one PVC and the other old galvanized hiding right underneath the PVC pipe. We needed to get the pipe safely turned off and rerouted in order to continue. The whole project looked like it might be shut down for a week or more due to scheduling issues etc. I found Libby and within minutes she cheerfully had us in touch with her partner Dave. Dave gave us the advice we needed to get the project back on track and got out here in record time exactly when he said he would to take care of the work. Additionally, he even checked out what might be the cause of a waterlogged lawn. He was great, very nice to have around, very tolerant of the heat and the job we threw at him out of nowhere. My husband and I are looking forward to working with Libby and Dave in the future for other landscaping projects. Good, talented, intelligent folks...

Libby showed up the same day I called and I explained both aspects of the job, the lighting and the irrigation systems. We set a time when her partner, Dave Gore, would show up to start working. The time when Dave was scheduled to arrive came and went and he didn't show and I got no call. I ended up calling Libby and she called back that evening with an apology. So Dave got started a day late, but once he started he was reliable, capable, helpful, and pleasant to work with. He went out of his way to make things work. He had to do considerable searching for one of the irrigation valves that had died. First he was trying to get a kit that was supposedly available to allow one to rebuild existnig valves (Champion) but it turned out they weren't available any more, at least not in the three stores he went to. So he supplied me with another valve and instructed me on how to use it. I purchased the new fixtures and replacement bulbs needed for the lighting system and Dave installed ithem. That evening I was pleased to see the lighting system come on at dusk and all the fixtures working and placed just where I had requested they be.

She was fantastic and personable. Worked hard, and also accommodated all my pesky questions.

Libby is friendly and super easy to work with. Before she started, we met at a nursery as she wanted me to show her the plants I like while she suggested others. Libby does most of the work herself and did not use anyone else except her partner. The project took about 5 weeks to complete. That worked out just great for me as it allowed me to budget for the project. The finished project looks fantastic and the design goes along with our vintage home. The plants are filling in nicely. My backyard is really beautiful now.
