Auto Service
Took my C230 MBZ in for an oil leak. I was told that the Oil Pan needed to be replaced, which would entail the removal of the transmission, and the job would take a lot of time. The cost of the job was $350.00, plus $110.00 for synthetic oil - making a total of $460.00.
The auto was left there for 3 days, and after driving it home I noticed oil on the concrete of my driveway. I took the auto back and they fixed the leak. However, the oil leak repair caused a transmission fluid leak, which left a large puddle of fluid on my garage floor. I returned the auto to Kinburg, and they kept it for an additional 2 days. Mike, the owner finally called to say the auto was ready. I went to pick it up, and as I was about to take the car, Mike noticed fluid dripping heavily under the car and asked me to leave it again. I said "definitely not". "My car has been here for 5 days. I came in with an oil leak, and now you've caused a transmission leak." Evidently, the mechanics there are incompetent. I would not recommend Kinburg on Pico and Fairfax to anyone.
I finally looked on Angie's list and found MAAX Transmissions, and had the transmission problem fixed at an additional cost to me of $375.00. I am happy with the job MAAX did in one day.
