$14000, second one was $8400 third one was $2500. The owner Brian of Kaiser
Plumbing gave us $5,500. The reason we chose him was the explanation was most clear
among the 4 companies and also we found out that he got high scored in
Angie's list. My husband and I felt most comfortable and confident to ask him
the work. We were right! He showed up on time on the work day with
other plumbers and all of them were so nice and have great attitude and
worked so professionally. They worked for 2 days fully and completed all of the
work as planned. They respected us and our house and they cleaned all of
the trash and just left our house without any dirt. We definitely want to ask
him again when we have another issue comes out. Again he is highly recommended
plumber.
replaced a difficult sewer cutting through tree roots, installed washer
and dryer, my insinkerators and new faucets. Even when faced with a
challenge they never cease to impress with a professional and earnest
attitude. During my last call to them, Brian took the time to ask em
questions and diagnose the problem on the phone instead of charging me
for a visit which he could have easily done. He referred me to a great
drain company who did the work quickly and well. You know a business has
great ethics when they look out for your interest first. I have worked
with Kaiser for over 2 years now and don't think I'll ever need to look
for another plumber.
I contacted Brian along with 2 other plumbers on Angies that I would categorize as the “best-of-the-best” in the SoPas/San Marino/Pas/Los Feliz/Silver Lake/Eagle Rock area, per their reviews. All 3 plumbers looked good and were professional (i.e., thier reviews spoke for them) … but Brian stood out. His price was more competitive than everyone else’s … and he was using cast iron when others were going to use PVC! What I found amazing was that he didn’t even highlight the fact that he was using cast iron in his (detailed) estimate. After meeting with him, and reviewing his estimate, I could tell he was going to provide a far better quality job and for less money.
Brian was in continual communication with the work and showed me each stage of their progress (I worked from home). The job was done promptly.
While the walls were open, Brian also pinpointed another problem with the connections to the bath tub. Specifically, the prior owner decided to use old egg cartons to catch a tiny leak in the second floor tub (absolutely amazing!?!) ... Brian and Team quickly fixed that too.
All the works was done with the utmost care and attention to detail, i.e., they were surrounded by brand new tile floor … I was willing to let a couple cracked tiles slide, but they didn’t even crack or chip a single tile! Afterwards they cleaned up all the dust (they draped plastic to keep the dust to a minimum) so that was not a big issue.
Finally, at the end, Brian came back with a final invoice that was cheaper than the original estimate … never seen that before!?!?. He said he ended up not needing to make a repair that we had originally discussed and I confirmed earlier (but forgot) … he repaired other areas though (i.e., tub), so I just figured it was all the same price. But the price was lower … he could have easily padded it with a bunch of nonsense and I would have never known. That alone I would recommend him a billion times over anyone else (oh, and yea, he used way better materials (i.e., cast iron) than his competition was going to use).
Basically the take away from this long winded dissertation … Hire this guy!
"The scope of work is understated making my price seem high. We moved and re-piped the laundry and kitchen sink (Water, waste, and vent.) Relocated gas for the stove and dryer. Capped and remove plumbing for sinks and gas to back structure. Rebuilt sink in bathroom and changed the waste piping under sink (looked at it?) It is true I missed my appointment with Member the next day do to a scheduling mistake on my part. Yet this was a complete kitchen remodel and in no way did I hold up progress on the job or hopefully disturb Member's schedule considering he was working on his house most of the time. I also recall apologizing and was there the next day. I enjoyed working with Member and we spent quite a bit time talking about his newly perchaced house. It turned out he had bought it from a retired rail road worker that had created a unique back yard. To my surprise this one moderate review was stopped all my jobs from Angies list. If you are a potential new client please consider trying my services and see for yourself that Kaiser plumbing is extremely reliable and professional. I have been in business for 12 years and besides Angies all my work comes from repeat costumers and word of mouth referrals. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Brian Kaiser"
