We gathered several estimates from highly rated plumbers on Angie's List, and we chose Brian because he was very reasonable in scope and cost and he had knowledge and appreciation for old homes (ours is a 1913 Bungalow). Brain also estimated to complete the major work in one day and he and his crew did, even finishing a bit early! He left the house clean and kept to the estimated costs he quoted us. Also he was very cooperative with helping us get our work permitted by the city of Pasadena, making an extra trip out for the inspector. We were very pleased with his and his crew's work and would be happy to hire him again for future projects!

Highly recommended. We had quotes from 4 companies and one was
$14000, second one was $8400 third one was $2500. The owner Brian of Kaiser
Plumbing gave us $5,500. The reason we chose him was the explanation was most clear
among the 4 companies and also we found out that he got high scored in
Angie's list. My husband and I felt most comfortable and confident to ask him
the work. We were right! He showed up on time on the work day with
other plumbers and all of them were so nice and have great attitude and
worked so professionally. They worked for 2 days fully and completed all of the
work as planned. They respected us and our house and they cleaned all of
the trash and just left our house without any dirt. We definitely want to ask
him again when we have another issue comes out. Again he is highly recommended
plumber.

Brian Kaiser has been our go-to plumbing expert for quite a few years. Recently we had a sewer back-up and he was busy on another job so I called Showtime Plumbing. Showtime showed up and after assessing the problem told me they would come back the next day and fix it for 2400.00. I was shocked at the price and called Brian to ask him what he thought. He called me back and listened to my description of the problem. He told me he would come over the next morning to fix the problem. The next morning he showed up as promised, fixed the problem expertly and charged us 500.00. He is the best, hands down.

This was a good experience. I had a few estimates done, liked some of them, and decided Kaiser Plumbing was the best option. From my experience working various jobs, home repairs, and dealing with lots of different people/workers all my life, I have come to trust my gut feeling about other people doing work. When Brian Kaiser did his estimate I felt the familiar feeling of confidence when it seems like someone really knows what they're doing, and they're a good, honest person who I can trust to do a quality job at a reasonable price with no funny business. That turned out to be correct. First of all, compared to the others, talking through the job with Brian was more straightforward. He's calm and has a great personality, very pleasant to discuss things with. He's done various kinds of construction all his life and doesn't have tunnel vision toward just the plumbing portion of a job....we were able to look at the overall house and make sure the work he planned to do fit with everything else, no leftover issues to deal with later. And with me doing some of the work myself, it was easy to coordinate with him and know exactly where his work would leave off and mine begin. Brian calmly took the few minutes to talk it through with me. Also his estimate was a bit lower than the others, despite doing more work (a more thorough job than the others, a few details here and there), and all in one day which none of the others planned to do. The only and quot;badand quot; thing was I got a little bit suspicious because it sounded maybe too good to be true....but he did exactly what he said, all in one 8hr day. When Brian and his co-worker Alan (sp?) arrived (on time) they got right to work. They didn't hurry, but the work got done fast. I got the impression they know what they're doing. I'm not a professional plumber, but from what handyman experience I have it seemed everything they did was good quality work, and appropriate for this older house. You know how sometimes workers seem they're doing a job because they have to work, have to make money....and some seem like they actually want to work....Brian and Alan are the latter - normal, cool, smart guys with a good attitude, and it shows in the results of the job. They were easy-going, accommodated our special requests relating to fenced pets in the area, and it was nice having them around. When they returned a week later to install the sink and toilet they did that really well also, and I noticed some details they did that they could've skipped. The overall feeling was more like making new friends, instead of having a company come do work. Obviously we'll call Kaiser Plumbing for our future plumbing needs. Please treat these guys well, they deserve it.

We had Kaiser plumbing bid to plumb two bathrooms in our 4,000 sq foot home. Their price was competitive and they stood out from other companies that we had bid the work. We have spent a long time looking for a good plumber, and tried many companies in the past (we have four properties) but were always unsatisfied for one reason or another. We are grateful to have finally found a company we like, trust and will re-use.They were professional and courteous, and worked to a timely schedule. Brian is very knowledgable and offered suggestions we used on how to improve the bathroom design and structure. They did a brilliant job plumbing the bathrooms . We overlooked an issue installing the sink and Brian offered a smart solution that worked and meant we did not have to rip out the tile already installed. He is an intelligent problem solver! We called him again recently as we had a plumbing emergency; a burst old pipe under our house that was flooding the property. He responded immediately. We will definitely use him again. His attention to detail is exceptional. We highly recommend Kaiser Plumbing.

On a Sunday evening, I heard what sounded like water gushing inside my kitchen cabinets. I opened all the bottom cabinets, but couldn't find a leak or water anywhere -- either inside the house or outside; but I definitely heard water running full force. I immediately called Kaiser Plumbing (which had previously found and repaired an outside leak here) and explained the problem. Brian had another job scheduled, but said he'd come out Monday am. I came home at lunchtime, and Brian and another guy (sorry, I forget his name) had already located the problem -- a leaking pipe inside the wall behind a cabinet -- and were in the process of fixing it. Brian explained to me that there was a pipe in the wall that had been improperly sealed, and it had burst. I told him about the faucet that used to be outside (but had been removed and stuccoed over) that had been in approx that same spot. He said that he could open the stucco there and put a new faucet in if I wanted -- which I did. So I got the leak fixed and got my outside faucet back. Kaiser Plumbing has come through for me in 2 different emergencies, has done the job properly, and at a great price, too. Iand quot;ll absolutely be calling them again.

Kaiser Plumbing has saved me on several occasions. In the past, they
replaced a difficult sewer cutting through tree roots, installed washer
and dryer, my insinkerators and new faucets. Even when faced with a
challenge they never cease to impress with a professional and earnest
attitude. During my last call to them, Brian took the time to ask em
questions and diagnose the problem on the phone instead of charging me
for a visit which he could have easily done. He referred me to a great
drain company who did the work quickly and well. You know a business has
great ethics when they look out for your interest first. I have worked
with Kaiser for over 2 years now and don't think I'll ever need to look
for another plumber.

Our house is old and the fixtures are old. Brian fixed a sink that many others had tried and failed to fix. While he was here he fixed a leaky bathtub faucet and cleared a toilet clog in another bathroom. He was very thorough. I had him come back to replace a shower head that was broken. And a third time to fix the shower fixture, which required him to hunt down the right part without knowing the manufacturer! He's great!!!

We couldn't be more pleased with the work or more impressed with Brian. When he came over for the quote he had many helpful suggestions and genuinely wanted to save us money. He looked at other fixtures, mostly installed by the previous owners, and told us that they all were in good condition and didn't need to be replaced. He was also knowledgeable about water saving technologies. His quote was accurate, and he didn't mind discussing the merits and costs of different options. He and his crew were fast, clean and on time, and like I said the work looks great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brian, and I will definitely call him again for any other plumbing needs.

He was super and we were very impressed by him. His bid was not low but he was very professional. He was also flexible about working out our payment situation. We had the impression he used very high quality parts. He did the work with himself with a partner instead of sub contracting the work. We felt very secure that if we would have not found another referral we would have gone with him and been happy.

So Brian Kaiser just left my residence and as a huge service to all the Angie peeps out there I decided to immediately jump on the computer to let everyone know how awesome this guy is.

I contacted Brian along with 2 other plumbers on Angies that I would categorize as the “best-of-the-best” in the SoPas/San Marino/Pas/Los Feliz/Silver Lake/Eagle Rock area, per their reviews. All 3 plumbers looked good and were professional (i.e., thier reviews spoke for them) … but Brian stood out. His price was more competitive than everyone else’s … and he was using cast iron when others were going to use PVC! What I found amazing was that he didn’t even highlight the fact that he was using cast iron in his (detailed) estimate. After meeting with him, and reviewing his estimate, I could tell he was going to provide a far better quality job and for less money.

Brian was in continual communication with the work and showed me each stage of their progress (I worked from home). The job was done promptly.

While the walls were open, Brian also pinpointed another problem with the connections to the bath tub. Specifically, the prior owner decided to use old egg cartons to catch a tiny leak in the second floor tub (absolutely amazing!?!) ... Brian and Team quickly fixed that too.

All the works was done with the utmost care and attention to detail, i.e., they were surrounded by brand new tile floor … I was willing to let a couple cracked tiles slide, but they didn’t even crack or chip a single tile! Afterwards they cleaned up all the dust (they draped plastic to keep the dust to a minimum) so that was not a big issue.

Finally, at the end, Brian came back with a final invoice that was cheaper than the original estimate … never seen that before!?!?. He said he ended up not needing to make a repair that we had originally discussed and I confirmed earlier (but forgot) … he repaired other areas though (i.e., tub), so I just figured it was all the same price. But the price was lower … he could have easily padded it with a bunch of nonsense and I would have never known. That alone I would recommend him a billion times over anyone else (oh, and yea, he used way better materials (i.e., cast iron) than his competition was going to use).

Basically the take away from this long winded dissertation … Hire this guy!

Brian's worker came one day and finished most of the work, but not all of it. He was scheduled to come in the next day to finish up but he never did. We had to call Brian to remind him that they never finished up. The work they did was good, but Brian is a little scattered. I would use them again in a pinch, but be a little more on top of them about the work.
Response from Kaiser Plumbing Corporation
"The scope of work is understated making my price seem high. We moved and re-piped the laundry and kitchen sink (Water, waste, and vent.) Relocated gas for the stove and dryer. Capped and remove plumbing for sinks and gas to back structure. Rebuilt sink in bathroom and changed the waste piping under sink (looked at it?) It is true I missed my appointment with Member the next day do to a scheduling mistake on my part. Yet this was a complete kitchen remodel and in no way did I hold up progress on the job or hopefully disturb Member's schedule considering he was working on his house most of the time. I also recall apologizing and was there the next day. I enjoyed working with Member and we spent quite a bit time talking about his newly perchaced house. It turned out he had bought it from a retired rail road worker that had created a unique back yard. To my surprise this one moderate review was stopped all my jobs from Angies list. If you are a potential new client please consider trying my services and see for yourself that Kaiser plumbing is extremely reliable and professional. I have been in business for 12 years and besides Angies all my work comes from repeat costumers and word of mouth referrals. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Brian Kaiser"

I had just recently been seriously overcharged by another plumber and was looking for someone new, and Brian is one of a few that I called to get an estimate from. He was immediately honest about the issue, which a couple of the other plumbers were not, and gave me a really reasonable quote for the job. I was about to take a trip and had some people house-sitting for me, and Brian juggled his schedule to he could accommodate me and get it done before I left. The night before he came to do the work I noticed that my toilet was running as well. He fixed that, and did not charge me a penny more than the original quote. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Brian is incredible! On Friday nite I discovered that I had a major underground leak (my water bill went from an avg of $10-20 to $600). I immediately called DWP, which came out and told me that: 1) there was an underground leak; 2) it was on my property; and 3) it was my responsibility. I then called several plumbers from Angie's List, each of whom was to come out Monday a.m. By Sunday nite, the leak had saturated the front lawn and my retaining wall, and was running down the street in a small river. My house is on a hillside, and I was terrified that the water might undermine the slab and put my house at risk. Brian was the second plumber to come out, and like the first, told me that he couldn't tell what the problem was until he dug it up;. nonetheless, he was willing to tell me what he thought was going on and to give me an estimate for that. We agreed that he would dig up the pipe and that I would pay for his time should I get someone else to fix the problem. Within half an hour, Brian had located the leak and dug it up. He then showed me the problem (which was what he had previously thought) and gave me an estimate that floored me (in a good way), given the state of panic I was in. He also suggested that two of the exposed spigots be replaced with ball valves (I had been using a wrench to turn them), which I agreed was a good idea. I asked him to do the work and within an hour, the leak was fixed, the valves were replaced, and the hole was filled back in. I am more than pleased with Brian's work and will be calling Kaiser Plumbing for all my plumbing needs. Thank you Angie's List and Brian.

Have used Brain Kaiser previously but did not write a report. We discovered a leak in one of our bathrooms on a Friday night. Called Brian and scheduled him to come to the house the next morning. He arrived on time, found the leak and repaired it. The work involved crawling in between the ceiling the floor above. He also wiped up all the water from the leak and assured us we did not need to take extra measures to dry out the area (we were worried about mold forming from the moisture). He repaired a faucet for which he'd ordered parts (from the previous visit) and patiently looked at a failing toilet we'd forgotten to mention to him when scheduling this repair call. He had the new part for the toilet and repaired it during this visit. His manner and willingness to explain all repairs in detail is calm, friendly, professional and reflects solid experience. We have used other plumbers who performed good work, but I wanted to find a plumber in my neighborhood because I've learned that plumbing emergencies require someone who can get to the house quickly. Brian Kaiser exceeds expectations in all categories.

The plumber returned my call quickly and came out to my house right at the time he said he would arrive. He came in and assessed the situation. After looking at the sink on the floor above the leak and not finding any leakage their, he felt that there must be a broken pipe or leak in the ceiling right above the leak and said the wall would need to be opened to have a better look. He had another emergency situation to run to so his assistant open the ceiling in 3 areas and was unable to find a broken pipe. When the plumber came back he began to do more investigating upstairs, outside at the mainline, just all over the upstair area above the leak still nothing. Finally he and his assistant moved my large built in refri and discovered that a very old filter had come aloose and was leaking water - the source! The filter was unneccessary so he removed it and that was that. no more leak. While he was there I also had him fix a loose joint around my garbage disposal and look at a broken shower head in my bathroom. Though it took sometime to find the source of the leak and at first I felt they should have done more investigating upstairs before cutting holes in the ceiling, in the end it was good to have the holes because there was so much moisture in the ceiling it really needed to be opened up and allowed to dry so it all worked out. The plumber is def the nicest plumber I've ever met and he is extremely skilled as well. He was able to diagnois the shower head problem in about 3 minutes whereas another plumber I had come out for it couldn't even get the high tech shower head off. I also like that he seemed genuinly concerned and really wanted to do the work at a fair price and not over charge me. Additionally he had no problem tended to the other issues I brought up even though that wasn't what the inital call was about. And I definitly appreciated his calm and positivity and that he never tried to scare me into spending more or making more of the situation than it really was. I highly recommend him and his assistant as well. Both hardworking, friendly, positive, and skilled.
