He had workers on the job site, but no workers' comp, even though the law requires it. We kept asking for proof of workers' comp and never got it. Charged us for materials without invoices to support charges even though we said we required them. When we asked for invoices, could only produce invoices for $2,000 of materials (a fraction of what we were charged). We kept asking for a contract and we never got one. We had to hire a new contractor, who had to demolish some of the work that had been done, including the foundation work that had been done. We had to get new structural engineering calculations and plans because the ones Mullenix got were wrong - even some of the dimensions of our house were incorrect. Ruined things that weren't supposed to be demolished, including original crown molding, window sills, original hard wood floors, vintage light fixtures (all in 1920's home). The other review of him is spot on. Thank goodness we figured it out before the project was finished. Wish we'd seen the other review before we hired him.

His esthetic makes me feel that he is a straight shooter and is very far from truth. He had a crew and they were substantially size. He had one guy who was sort of like his lead. He was personable as well. He should have recognized his red flag. The vendors that he would pull out as well as his own crew thought a shit of him. That was obviously sort of the end to our relationship. There was one of his crew members that sexually harassed my wife. They also had plumbing problems that were so astronomically bad that we ended up with what we refer to as maggots underneath. For all the problems they created and some of the things they did were just unfixable. I found a leak on the roof and I asked them to fix the leak. I went to the backyard to fix some lights and I saw one of those black little carry out bags, it was sort of jammed where the whole was. The pipes were not enough of an incline of the drain appropriately and the overflow was not screwed on or tapped in the place. That is why we put down the disclosure and left underneath the ground to generate the bed of maggots. To fix all these problems and even before the bed of maggots we called them and he went down there and stuck a fan by the vents and said it should be fine. The food items ground up had not really been removed it was just covered that's what gave room to the maggots. It was like a Petri dish for maggots. I was out of the country for work and I was getting these text messages from my wife that we are getting increasingly worse.
