I hired Jonathan for a garage conversion and I gave him a check for the deposit after he spent a good two hours onsite at no charge to discuss the project. The next day Jonathan called me and said heâ s been researching my project and did not feel comfortable taking my money because I may not receive permit approval and it would be best to wait till I received LA City approval. He also was nice enough to return my deposit check in full. Which I think says a lot!
