I received an estimate for the work. I had sent to Jose by text, a photo of the furniture to help with the estimate. I called other Angie's List providers. Jose's quote was very competitive, extremely fair and included pick up and delivery because of my location. Jose also sent me photos of past upholstery jobs so I could see the quality of his work. We proceeded with the work after I received the fabric that I had ordered.
We were very pleased with the end result -- outstanding quality, very quick turnaround, and prompt delivery. Excellent communication about progress of the work throughout the job.
This is a good, solid family business. All jobs come through word of mouth. I am delighted that we have an upholsterer we can rely on for future jobs.
Jose was responsive and friendly when I called, and was prompt for our appointment. Since I had my own fabric already, the price quoted was for re-upholstery services only (including pick-up & delivery); Jose was also attentive to our particular request for ensuring VERY FIRM cushioning since my husband is a large man.
Because we contracted for services in mid-December, the forecasted completion date was approx. mid-January, which was OK with us. However sometime in early January, Jose called to say that another customer's fabric hadn't arrived as scheduled, so he was able to move up our job - so we arranged for an earlier completion/delivery date (also OK with us!). We were REALLY PLEASED with the workmanship, friendliness & professionalism of Jose & his company! We have already provided his information to friends, and would use his services again in a heartbeat!
My husband spoke to Jose Garcia, who asked us to email photos of the chairs. Jose followed up in short time with an email response and personal phone call to give us a rough estimate of cost and amount of fabric needed to complete the job. The ratings were very good for this company, so we decided to use their services for the job. Jose arrived promptly on the scheduled day to show us the fabric samples and to pick up the chairs. He wrote up the invoice and we gave him a deposit for the fabric we'd selected.
The work was completed within two weeks. Jose was reachable the entire time if we had questions. We were very happy with the finished work. Prior to reupholstering, my husband had laboriously refinished the wooden arms and legs of each chair. We appreciated that great care was taken not to mar the refinished woodwork during the reupholstery process. Due to the excellent work done by Joe's and J, we have been able to salvage a beautiful set of chairs for our home.
We are so pleased with the quality of work done. We felt the price was fair and the amount of time to complete the job was also good. We would not hesitate to recommend this company to others.
They also rehung two sets of drapes which were completely botched by the first installer. They put them on rings and did a great job of salvaging the drapes. Saved me a lot of money. I think their price was extremely reasonable considering the amount of work required. These guys so skilled, hardworking, and honest. What a great find!
He made an appointment to pick up the chair and was prompt with the time and date of pick up. He indicated that it would take a week to 10 days to complete after I purchased the material and gave me suggestions as to where to shop for material for the chair. I went to the locations but ultimately chose another vendor. Jose made some recommendations about the ottoman and I went with his suggestions.
Once he had the chair and ottoman he indicated that it would take a week to ten days to complete. He called the day before the deadline to set up a delivery time and he arrived within five minutes of the determined time for delivery.
The experience was painless and the completed job was excellent.
