They are always honest and reliable. Another plumber had been out on Christmas day and messed up the job, got their snake stuck in the drain and couldn't do it, then had the nerve to quote an outrageous price to come back the next day. So I called JoMi and they took care of it very reasonably.

Terrible! Pedro arrived on time but made a mess in our shower. Instead of a slow drain we now have a clogged shower! He did not even attempt to fix it, he told my wife we should call and arrange for someone else to come and repair the line!

I will addressed each matter separately. I have not the bills for most of the work yet.

Matter 1 involved installing a a new toilet and shower head that we bought. The plumber did a nice job of installing the toilet.

Matter 2 involved clearing two plugged low flow toilets  and checking the guest shower. The plumber cleared both toilets promptly using a snake like instrument built into a long pole. (The pole had orange handles and wire super-ball sized end). This plumber explained that the auger (snake) had problems because it was designed for sinks.) He checked the guest shower and said no work was necessary.

Matter 3 involved installing a new garbage disposal and checking another shower that my wife thought was noisy. The old disposal did not work at all. It just made a funny sound when you turned it on. He installed the new garbagedisposal my wife had bought. Our master shower head was leaking. He put in a new head that does not leak.

Whenever I have a problem with something, they come out. They're very responsive. If it's difficult, the head guys come out. If it's something minor, they have a number of different workman. They're very good. They're very polite. They clean up everything when they're done. They send you a bill afterwards. I like them.

We started having drain backup in our laundry room and a bathroom toilet so I called Jo-Mi, who I've had out to do similar work at our home since 2010. We are in an older home and usually need to have the main line cleared about once a year. Reggie showed up on time and was very pleasant. I showed him where the problems were and he set to work. 2 hours later (in the past this has never taken more than 1.25 hours) Reggie said he was finished and that I would be sent a bill in the mail. He did give me a work order (?) that showed his labor time at 2.5 hours. About 20 minutes after he left I realized that the bathtub was not draining properly and called Jo-Mi. Reggie came back later that day and snaked the bathtub drain. Everything seemed to be working.
I received the bill a few days later and the total cost was $337.50. I was shocked at the price. The last time I had Jo-Mi out in 2013 to do the same job the bill came to $168.00. I can understand prices going up but this was a huge jump, IMO.
I called and spoke to Kelvin about the charge. He said they recently raised they're rates (to $135.00 per hour from $96.00) but he would look into it. Never heard back from him. I'm really disappointed because they have always done good work and been very nice and accommodating to deal with as well as being reasonably priced. I'm reluctant to use them again.

We've used Jo-Mi for more than a decade but they seem to be going downhill.  One guy told us we did not have a leak when we had one; another did a minor toilet tank repair poorly and ruined a good towel without asking if he could use it.  There are lots of better plumbers around.

They are very professional and do quality work. They are really a pleasure to work with.

They repaired some of my electrical piping by installing an extension of the gas dryer pipe that I can hook up to a BBQ out on the back patio. They were very innovative. They are a little pricey but very responsive and worth the price. They provide excellent work at a reasonable price. They clean up behind themselves!

I think the work varied by who came out. The initial work of snaking our outflow line and installing the emergency diversion pipe was a good idea, and it solved our immediate problem, but then the drains backed up again less than two months later and we had to have the line cleaned again. Then it happened again about a month after that, and line had to be snaked again. The outflow pipe ended up with just making a mess of raw sewage and toilet paper that had to be cleaned out of our flower bed.
The video camera through the pipe seemed like a good idea and a standard response. They charged us $495 for that, which seems high when I look at other plumbers on Angie's List, though. And another plumber we called for an estimate on what looked like at least $1400 more in repairs questioned why they sent the video camera through the pipe and didn't clear out the tree root blockage while they were in there. I don't know about that. But we asked Jo Mi to give us an estimate on making the repairs on the pipe and then no one ever got back to us with that estimate, so we ended up hiring another plumber to do that work.
I think the company has some very good plumbers but then maybe some who aren't so much.

They were polite, courteous people. They did not try to upsell me. It was a very good experience with them, both times.

Fernando responded to my request for an estimate speedily and was extremely responsive in answering a few questions via email. When I called the office to make the appointment everyone I spoke with was professional, courteous, and friendly. I was able to get an appointment for the day and time needed with no problem. On the day of the service, the two-man team arrived on time (actually a little early even!) and did a great job. They were courteous and personable, finished the job speedily, and afterward explained to me what they did and answered a few questions we had about transport of the unit with the moving company. The price was reasonable as well. We would recommend Jo-Mi Plumbing and would use them again ourselves.

Mike arrived on time. He installed the kitchen faucet and took care to make sure the plate underneath was properly scrubbed before finishing the installation. It works great. Next he discovered the bathroom sink I had purchased was not the correct size. At my request he accompanied me to Home Depot, bringing the old sink, and helped me pick out the correct size model. He even tossed the old one in our trash bin for me. He carried the new sink up to my place, installed it, and it looks and functions great. I'm very pleased and would definitely use Jo-Mi Plumbing again. Mike went over and above.

They installed the 2 sink faucets. It took them around 8 hours to do this. They kept explaining to me how there were many obstacles they had that were preventing them from completing the job. I did not feel that they were very knowledgable, and they ended up charging me for how long it took them to complete the job. They never came to me to tell me what the problem was until about 6 hours had passed.

Our shower drain was stopped up and we were unable to clear it ourselves. We made the call to Jo Mi, as they had done good work for us before. JR came over within 20 minutes of our call, cleared the drain in the shower and snaked out the clean out near our kitchen in under an hour!

Too many to recount - but well!

This is a wonderful company! They have cared superbly for all our plumbing needs.

Called them. Described the issue and scheduled them to come out -- Not real fast, but wasn't a real emergency either. Discussed in detail and they suggested I call the manufactory to find out about parts replacement.. Good call, they sent me replacement parts for free, no hassel ( California Faucet). Parts showed up in two day, and Jo-Mi came out the next wee and did the job. Very fair price and work quality was ok.. Ask for follow-up on some additional work... but that hasn't happened - still waiting after a couple of weeks... The next time I need a plumber--- I will call them for sure...

The technician wasn't able to diagnose the problem first and appeared unsure. They tried by cleaning the heater but because that was not causing the problem they had to change a valve after that. Too many visits at a rate of $130/hr. for the first visit and $90/hr. after that. It took them 9.5 hours to solve the problem.

They didn’t check with me before they did the work and they charge a little more for their hourly rate than union rates. It was smooth and the tenant had no complaints, but they did the extra work without discussing it with me. The price was high but not unbelievable. I don't think I'll use them again.

It turned out good. They showed up on time. They installed it without a problem. I bought the faucet myself. When I first tried it out it seemed to be rather weak. He went in and tightened it up, but he said it was made of plastic. I took the faucet back to the home depot, but he did a good job of installing it.
