JAMES IMPORT MOTOR SERVICE is a complete Automotive Service Center for BMW, Mercedes and Porsche vehicles. We are under FACTORY AUTHORIZATION by the ROBERT BOSCH CORPORATION. BOSCH is the German manufacturer of all EUROPEAN AUTOMOTIVE FUEL INJECTION systems and most automotive computer systems including ANTILOCK BRAKES, AIRBAG SYSTEMS (SRS), ANTI-SKID (ASR), COMPUTERIZED IGNITION, COMPUTERIZED SUSPENSION and more. We employ FACTORY TRAINED TECHNICIANS and have been in business over 30 years in the MARINA DEL REY area. We pride ourselves on providing an honest, excellent job, at a fair and competitive price. Shuttle service is gladly provided within the area. Rental cars are also availble.

Went here to inquire about a problem with my electrical system. As it turned out, when I went to another
Porsche shop the problem was relatively easy to fix. and quot;Jamesand quot; wouldnt even look at my car. If you want a
simple tuneup or oil chance I'm sure it can be done. Anything else.....I wouldn't waste my time!

I went there with my 2001 Porsche to enquire about some mechanical and cosmetic issues. If you want a simple tune up, oil change or brakes they will do that. I cant say how well though.They do not do any mechanical work it seems.Every issue i brought up I was referred to the dealer. In other words, if you have any mechanical problems they simply wont do them....at least the issues I had. Seems to me that either there just isnt enough profit to make it worthwhile or a lack of expertise. He also supposedly "services" other foreign cars like Mercedes and BMW and perhaps he does more with them but if you own a Porsche, my advice is not to go there.
