Green carpet care and tile restoration

It was fantastic! He was efficient, friendly, and professional. So much so that I put a note in my calendar to hire again in 12 months.

I called this company because of the "Green" in their name. I wanted an 'organic' cleaning of my carpets that would be safe for my children and pets. Plus, I am very sensitive to smells and chemicals. While they were in my house cleaning the carpet, I looked in one of the bins they left sitting outside. In it was an empty carpet cleaning solution bottle that was NOT green, in fact it was quite the opposite. This made me concerned that they weren't being honest with me about the products they were applying to my carpet. I made him show me exactly what they put in the machine. He seemed very annoyed, almost angry, that I was asking him. On the phone, they had said that each room was $140. The woman on the phone was not friendly or pleasant. Then, when they arrived at my house, they quoted me much higher. Higher than my budget could afford. He finally came down to where I reluctantly said 'OK', but I had to go with cleaning less rooms than I wanted. I ended up having them only clean our living room and office, 2 rooms. When I asked why they quoted me higher, they said it was because we had 'commercial' carpeting and needed to use more product to clean it. I didn't understand this because our carpet, if anything, is thinner than the average home carpet. And I didn't see that they did any "extra" to clean my carpet. They were literally done with the cleaning in 30 minutes. They only did one rinse after using a ton of soap! Also, they did not do any special treatment on the urine areas or the spots that I specifically pointed out to them. The soaps they used smelled SO STRONG that they made my eyes burn for the rest of the day, and anytime that I got down near the floor. I recommend you DO NOT let them use the deodorizer if you are at all sensitive to smells. This made me so upset because this is what I was trying to avoid by hiring a green company. I can't imagine what it smelled like for my poor dog! And thank goodness I don't have babies that crawl on the floor anymore. The floors also stayed wet until the next day. Not convenient when you have kids and pets. It has been a month since they did the cleaning and you can't tell that we ever had the carpet cleaned. In fact, I think the spots are even more noticeable now than they were before. All in all, I was very upset and displeased with this service. I very much regretted hiring them. I spoke to the owner on the phone to let him know I was unhappy with their service. He seemed annoyed by my calls, and he sounded as if I was a nuisance. He only offered to come and clean the carpet again, which is not what I wanted because it was the smell that bothered my in the first place. I didn't MORE of it. I told him that I felt robbed that they charged me so much and then left me feeling unsatisfied. He definitely needs to learn better customer service values.
