The facility itself is outstanding but the customer service is extremely poor. They did not honor a membership agreement that I had established. I got to renew with them in May and they did not honor the agreement that I had signed 3 years ago for a renewal.

Golds is a good gym; however, their up and down management and turnover of trainers can be frustrating.  It's important to vocalize immediately if your trainer is a good fit for you or not  b/c Customer Service and management will not check in on you.  Otherwise, I've had one so-so trainer and two very good ones.  Over the 6 years that I've been an on/off member of this DTLA gym, I would say the early years were better - it was fairly quiet gym a few years ago, but the influx of groupon-users and students has oversaturated the gym.  It's not hard to get equipment, but sometimes, it's difficult to get space on the floor to stretch.  Also, the few classes I've taken there are packed beyond capacity to a place where it could be dangerous (ie. getting kicked in the face by someone's whose workout area is too clse to yours).  I would fault management for not controlling that better.
Overall - it's a solid gym and the pool area is nice.  The equipment is decent; the venue is cool.  You have to look for the good apples in management however...there was an outstanding manager who has since had to move to a different Gold's and current management is NOT on top of it.

I've been going to them over 12 years. They're very friendly.

The fitness center is okay. Their equipment is generally clean. I would give it a rating of maybe 6 or 7 out of 10.

The facility is very clean ,comfortable and is accessible to my area. The gym is very well staffed and there's always someone around to assist if you have a problem.
