Dry Cleaning Service
These are the worst rip-off artists I've ever encountered. I dropped off a couture designer dress on which I'd spilled some clear nail polish. When I went to pick the dress up, they tried to charge me $96. Their price list is something like $14 to clean a dress. I had left my phone number on my ticket, but they never called me to tell me there'd be an extra charge to get off the polish. It took me 40 minutes to of arguing to get them to give me back my dress for $40. What was worse, when I got home, I discovered that although they'd gotten the polish off just fine, they had ruined the neckline of the dress by not measuring it properly before cleaning. This was a $1,200 that they totally destroyed, all the while trying to charge me seven times their posted rates. Avoid this place at all costs, especially since there are so many competent dry cleaners in the area.
