EMILIO'S UPHOLSTERY

They had recently completed another couch for us without any problems. Emilio gave me a price ($2800) and a completion date (6 weeks) and took the couch. I knew from prior experience that he might not complete the work on time so did not get worried until November. We visited his factory and saw that the couch had not been touched. He told us a story about losing some workers and promised to complete the work in two weeks. Two weeks later we called but each time he was out, once again we visited his factory. The couch was collecting dust. By December we knew we had a big problem. We started stopping by several times a week. Every time another lie. In Feb, 07 we received a fax stating that Luis had been the owner for 10 years! Luis said he was unaware of Emilio's promises to us. The factory was only 2000 sq ft! He upped the estimate, and asked for more money up front. They finally completed the work 7 mos late.
