They scheduled it for my convenience. Promised to be there at a certain hour. Called to confirm the day before, and then 30 minutes before the time. Great communication. I got three guys and a truck for two hour minimum - which was exactly what I needed. The guys were all hard working, sweet, and great to work with. I'll definitely call you guys when I need help moving!

Very pleased with the service. Leo, Saul and Fidencio were proffessional, punctual, hard working and friendly. They worked from the time that they arrived to the end of the move...with no lag time. I would highly reccommend this company.

I was able to contact them on a Saturday, for a moving date that following Tuesday. They warned me that West Hollywood needed a special permit in advance to allow the parking of a moving van on the streets, and we were able to circumvent that problem by finding a neighbor's driveway that they could use. They knew that in apartment elevators, pads provided by the apartment managers needed to be used, which I wasn't aware of, but was able to finally get worked out. The keys to the new place that we were given were not the correct keys and they patiently worked with me to help problem solve.
This was a difficult job in terms of parking in tight areas, using a small elevator and going in and out of a security gate. They wrapped and protected everything beautifully and were professional and excellent through and through

The experience was very good; they had three guys who packed and loaded. They were very meticulous and paid attention to detail. They were strong guys who hustled and got the job done. There was not a lot of heavy duty furniture and it was not that heavy; there was no bed or sofa involved. I thought the price was fair for the service they provided. If I have a small local move I will use them again in the future.

They did a great job and I was very pleased with the quality of work. They brought up everything into our new place which was a multilevel building and several tight corners. Then when they were in the new place they placed everything where it went making it a lot easier on us. They were very responsive, too their time, assembled the furniture that needed to be assembled.

Leo and Saul arrived at app 9:30 am. Initiated the packing process immediately . They carefully covered furniture with protective blankets.Both of them were professional and amiable and the moving experience was as painless as can be under the circumstances . There were no additional cost surprises and they stuck to the agreed contract as stated prior to the move. I would not hesitate to use them again and to recommend Elephant Moving to my friends and associates.

Prior to the move I obtained three estimates. There was not much difference between them. Elephant Moving was not the cheapest but I was impressed by the professional manner and knowledge of their representative, and his assessment was by far the most thorough. I also liked their box return policy which allowed me to return 50 of the packing boxes for a full refund. Two men came in to do the packing on the day before the move. They had all necessary materials and worked diligently. They left out the few things we needed overnight, but apart from that their packing was thorough. Three men performed the move itself the following day. Again the men worked diligently and efficiently, and they were friendly, and receptive to our concerns. Each item of furniture was well padded before it left the premises. All clothing was moved in wardrobe boxes (supplied free of charge). After a brief stop for lunch they arrived at our new home and put everything in place as we instructed them to. The beds, which they had taken apart, were reassembled. Although the move took nearly an hour longer than had been estimated we were only charged the estimate amount. And nothing was damaged or missing. I was completely satisfied and I recommend this company.

We have used this company for 4 moves over the last 7 years. This the first time we had a poor experience. Having said that, I want to say that management has always been professional and aimed to please us. However, the crew this time was not as professional as before. They were basically a mixed bag, with some good, not so good and downright awful. In particular one guy bordered on being offensive and insulting. There was sloppiness, a lot of superficial damage to our walls requiring spackling and painting,and a lack of eagerness to accommodate. We heard often during the day, can't be done, won't fit, only to prove them wrong by showing them how to do it and ultimately being right when the items did go in relatively smoothly. These guys definitely had a lot of muscle but what they lacked was the ability to move things smartly eg: not removing drawers on unwrapped furniture causing the drawers to fall out as they carried the piece up the stairs...Also, they took things apart then didn't want to assemble them back claiming they didn't know how. Very frustrating! They even lost pieces to a shelving unit and made no apologies, leaving me to have to find replacement parts...not an easy task. I am sorry to say this will be the last time we use this company. Even though management was very nice to work with, ultimately they are responsible for the crews they hire and I won't take a chance again. There are other companies who are competitive with their pricing and I only went back to Elephant due to past good experiences.

They were very helpful and careful with the pieces. They did some extra work with setting up the furniture. I would definitely use them again. Their pricing was very fair. They were very prompt.

There were good points and bad points about our experience with this company. At the end of the day however, I do not feel that I got my money's worth. The Good points - 3 of the four movers were exceptionally professional and fast. At one point when the move was proceeding slowly, two of those movers actually skipped their lunch break to stay on schedule. The van driver skillfully backed a mid sized moving van from a busy street onto a narrow driveway. The Bad points - 1 of the 4 movers was very slow, argued with the other movers when they asked him to pick up the pace and at one point he stormed off and disappeared for an hour. The move went very slowly, and when I called the office to complain, the manager repeatedly denied there was a problem other than that hour the one mover was missing. At one point the movers had the key to a storage room in the apartment building, which they proceeded to lose. (Resulting in us getting charged $100 by the apartment complex.) In an attempt to pick up time in the final hours of the move the movers got sloppy, leaving boxes and furniture in random locations and stacking boxes upside down. I was discounted the cost of that one mover during the hour he was missing, but obviously he had been working slowly all day and I did not get the full effectiveness of a 4 man crew but did have to pay for it. Sadly, even though there is a lot to recommend about this company, ultimately I would not use them again.

As far as moving companies go, I think they are one of the better ones I have used over the years. I personally believe in always getting the first appointment of the day to avoid waiting around for the movers from another move that might have ran over on the time. They offer free boxes if you use them for moving.
