Roberto was wonderful. He quoted the job from emailed photos. He picked up the chairs and finished the work in three days. The chairs are beautiful.

I can't say enough good things about them. They are fast. They do beautiful work. Their pricing is extraordinarily competitive. They can charge. They are friendly and thorough. They answer all your questions. They are just great all the way around.

The men arrived on time, looked over the couch and pillows, moved everything outside and did the steam cleaning. They cleaned the whole couch and each of the many different pillows. They moved the couch back into my living room and arranged the pillows so they could dry most efficiently. The crew was very professional and nice. They did an excellent job.

Roberto is a real craftsman. His work is painstaking. He goes the extra mile. The two fabrics we chose had floral pattens and he matched everything perfectly, so that the repeats line up.
On pick up and delivery, his crew was very neat and clean.
His prices are reasonable.
He is very personable.
We recommend him without reservation.

I called Roberto and he asked me to email him photos of the chairs. He sent me a quote within 24 hours. I called him and asked a few questions and setup an appointment for him to look at the chairs. He asked what type of material I would like and said he would bring samples. He arrived on time and I selected the material I wanted and he took the chairs. I went on vacation, and the last week of my vacation, I received an email from him saying that my chairs were ready and I should call him when I would be ready for delivery. I setup a date and time and he delivered the chairs when promised. I was very satisfied with his work and will use him again.

Roberto just delivered my six wood mid-century dining chairs that for which he reupholstered the seats. They look great and working with him was fantastic! He picked up my first call and we set a time for him to come look and give a quote. He arrived right on time, quoted what I though was a great price and with a turnaround time of only about a week. He just dropped them off (again, right on time), and his nice work made the fabric I chose look even better than I thought it would. Highly recommended!

It was excellent! They had the best price by far, and they worked quickly. My only issue was that it took an incredibly long time to get ahold of them.

They are a small operation, and the prices are beyond fair. He completed the project early, and didn't charge for the additional nail head trim he used. I have been using this company for several years, and have two more chairs ready to have him work on. I am a very fond Angie's List member, and am a very satisfied customer, with a smiling face!

This is the second time we have used D and R Upholstery. The first time was more than a year ago for a sectional; this time for 8 dining room chairs. I called Roberto and he came over his first opening. He brought material/pattern books for me to chose from for my chairs, which I did. He was very patient; did not rush me. He answered any questions I had and advised me about choosing one material over another as it relates to keeping the chairs clean, etc. I chose a material and only 6 days later the job was complete. The chairs look great -- D and R did a fabulous job! It just transforms our entire dining room! Dealing with Roberto is a huge pleasure. He is kind, candid, and funny.

It was a small job, but Roberto made me feel like it was a small job.

I came into the store on April 19th to repair a torn seat cushion. This was a gift for my father and I told him that it was not a rush job. He said it will be done in about a week or so and I was okay with that.

On May 6th I did not hear from Roberto so I decided to give him a call. I got an answering machine, so I left a message with all the pertinent information. On May 9th I still did not hear from him, so I called again and left another message stating that I was getting frustrated because I did not hear back.

Roberto called back about an hour later and asked me why I was getting frustrated. He told me that it was a small job and he would have to make a special trip to get the cushion. He stated that if he was going to do something it wouldn't be over a small cushion.

The cushion came out nice, but I would like to see a little more effort in pretending that this small piece of business is important to him as well. After all, it is my hard earned money that I have chosen to spend at his store.

Roberto's guys picked up the chair from my home. He had a great selection of fabrics to choose from. He delivered it to my home, chair looks like new, great craftsman ship.

I called D and R and spoke to Roberto about reupholstering my couch. I emailed him a picture of the couch and he emailed me an estimate, which seemed reasonable. I then decided that I would wait to reupholster and just get new cushion foam since the fabric wasn't too bad. He gave me an estimate over the phone and I brought my cushions to him. He did a very good job, but as I've stated, the firmness of the foam was not exactly what I wanted. I told him I wanted the back cushion to stand up but still be soft, and he used a less firm foam than the seat cushions, but it's still too firm. Maybe he should have just used a polyester filling, but that's what was in it before and it lost it's shape very quickly.

Great. They picked up our chairs when they said they would, they completed the job quickly and on time and the chairs look great.

It went extremely well. Dand R Upholstery does amazing, high quality work. Roberto originally estimated the job at $1140, with the actual amount coming in $20 less at $1120. I would use Dand R again and highly recommend them to anyone desiring high quality slipcovers. My chairs and ottomans look better than brand new!

Great.... on time good price nice guy

I emailed Roberto about our chairs, and he came to the house with hundreds of sample swatches to choose from. We picked our favorite and he came back in a timely fashion to pick up the chairs (they were in storage). We were in the middle of moving, and he kindly kept the chairs for us until we were all moved into our new home. He brought them back to us this week, and they look BEAUTIFUL! The quality of his work was outstanding and the price very reasonable. In fact, he gave us a discount because the fabric had dropped in price between the time we chose it and the time we did the work (our delay, not his, because of the move). We have a couch and an easy chair that we are looking forward to having him work on next!

Excellent work. Very honest in giving recommendations. Did not recommend replacing leather as it might not match. Recommended doing a double stitch on both sides. Required taking frame apart to get to the leather seat.

I can't say enough about this company, specifically Roberto, who basically is the company and is in charge of everything. From start to finish, including choosing the fabric, the pick up of the sectional, the work done, and the return delivery, everything went very smoothly. We now have a beautiful brand new sectional. Roberto took steps such as finding the best foam for the cushions to completely alter what was a fairly sunken but wonderful couch into a full and well stuffed wonderful couch. His advice on fabric, and overall patience and good nature made this whole project a delight. We would use him again in a second (in fact we plan to have him reupholster our dining room chairs very soon.)

I have an old large 3 person sofa that has been through a couple of sets of puppies and was completely destroyed (fabric ripped, underlying cushions chewed through). However, the sofa was about 25 years old and well made with a solid wood frame, originally quite expensive. After some research it was clear to me that it was worth repairing it rather than going to find a new one. I found Dand R Upholstery on Angies List, people seemed to think their prices were very fair and that was important to me. Robert from Dand R asked me to email him some pictures and gave me a rough estimate over the phone. He then came to my house, bringing fabric samples with him. This was a real boon to me because I was extremely busy at the time and getting to his studio to go through fabric samples would have been difficult (although obviously he has way more choices there than he can bring in his truck). He helped me go through the fabrics, I wanted something that didn't have to be dry cleaned because I knew the dogs would still go on the sofa. I also told him I needed the cushions redesigned so that they would be softer. The sofa was perfect when it came back, the cushions were completely different. It cost less than I thought it would, especially since there was at least another 3 yards of fabric for the dog cover (which goes over the whole sofa and has ties on each side). Plus they made two throw pillows. They had to carry the sofa up and down my driveway because it is too hard to access with a truck. Everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful. I won't go to anyone else for this kind of work and can't recommend them enough.

Roberto's workmanship is amazing. I found him on Angie's list and based on his great feedback I contacted him through email for a price based on detailed dimensions and pictures. He prompltly sent a reply with price. He picked up the chairs exactly when he said he would and called to deliver them before he promised. He did an amazing job and I would highly recommend him and I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Roberto was great. He was very nice, his prices were more than reasonable--I actually gave him more money than he asked for---and the work was excellent.
