Saw the problem and fixed it - and then also heard my video card fan struggling and cleaned it and lubed it up and replaced it at no extra charge. Super easy. No feeling of being scammed or upsold.

I returned from an extended vacation to find that my computer hard drive was deceased. The computer person in my office confirmed its demise. He recommended what hard drive to get and installed it, but could not get it to work. Victor and his folks at Computer Doctors took over and did a fine job.

It was good overall. I brought it in to them and it took about a week since they had to order to the parts.

One evening, I came home from work and tried to boot up my PC. Immediately it would display an error message, stating that a system file was corrupted. I went on the internet to diagnose the problem, and tried to fix it myself, but to no avail. I called this company, and spoke to Victor. I drove quite a ways from San Fernando Valley(24 miles) to their business in Silver Lake and dropped off my computer for them to look at. After a day and a half, I called to find out the status. Victor said that my system file hal.dll was possibly corrupted by a virus. He said that my Malwarebytes anti-virus software hadn't been updated in 2 months, so that's why a virus slipped thru and hit my PC. Victor basically cleaned up my PC and also tried to fix another problem where my PC would not stay in stand-by mode. Only charged me a $100 for his service! I had used their services 2 times before: first time two years ago was when the same PC was hit with a virus and the hard drive was failing. They fixed everything for $125. The second time was when my 10 year old daughter popped two keys off my laptop, trying to clean the nail polish spill. Again I took it to this company, and they reattached them in 30 minutes, and only charged me $20.

This is why I am willing to drive such a long distance to see them for any of my computer problems. Luis and Victor are quick to fix any problems, and very patient in answering all my questions(I'm a software QA engineer, BTW). Plus they charge so little, in comparison to the amount of work that they do.

See above. This is not the first, nor will it be the last time that we uses their services. They have been as a friend. They treated us well, quickly, professionally, honestly and most generously. We have absolutely no qualms about recommending them

Luis came by and did some wire tests from the router to the computer to determine which cable was the one going to the back. I had five different cables hooked into my router. We located the cable and there was a loose connection and some frayed wires. He basically sured up the cable and retested. It worked! I was so happy I didn't have to replace a 150' cable that ran through my attic and then down my driveway underground. He also helped my hook up a ethernet switch I had in the attic by the router which sped up my system. Great job! Thanks.

Called on Monday, made appointment for the next day, he showed up on time, Luis Orosco was my guy. I had a list of things I was bothered with and he sat right down and got to work, withing 45 min. he had a bunch of stuff taken off, things that I no longer needed. Checked my virus scanner to see that it was working, said I did not have spy ware, so he downloaded for free a spyware program he recommended. Had one issue with my AOL mail, he researched it with AOL and found that there was nothing that could be changed. He finished with me and spent another 30 min doing the same thing for my husbands computer. For someone who is familiar with how computers work, it was probably all pretty simple, but I don't know and don't want to know. I think his fee was very reasonalble and will use them again and ask for Luis.

We are not computer dummies, but the tech they sent was able to very quickly solve issues we had wrestled with for hours. I was ready to return the laptop as "defective", never suspecting it was a compatibility issue with our ATand T browser. This is our 3rd experience with Computer Doctors, and we are so happy to have them as our PC tech resource. The technicians they have sent are knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. In this case, he waived charging us a higher rate for the after-hours call. It was $75 well spent.

I showed up about 2 hours before closing on Christmas eve and they were so gracious. They tried a few things that might have quickly fixed the issues, but found that they weren't the problem and it would take more diagnosis. I had to leave the computers but they were both ready in one business day. All the gentlemen there were very helpful and eagerly willing to explain why they had to replace what they replaced and answered all my questions with clear, detailed responses. They really seem to love what they do.

I found these guys here on Angie's List and they seemed like a sure thing for a good experience. I knew I had used and abused my CPU by surfing the net for YEARS without up to date anti-virus, and I would need some professional help. They confirmed I had every virus known to mankind, cleaned everything up, and installed new anti-virus software, as well as a few other utility programs. I thought the price was very fair and overall, they did not disappoint in anyway. I am a person who is hesitant to call in a professional for every little thing that goes wrong (always try to fix things myself), but I'd go back to them in a heartbeat if I needed to. I gave them a C for punctuality because they had to extend my pick-up time twice, but that was not a major problem since I did not have any urgency (and it was only 2 days).

Our 5-year-old Dell PC had been running slower and slower, and frequently froze and crashed even on simple operations. We also needed to add a DVD burner and some photo editing software that we know would require more memory than we had. We bought direct from Dell the 1 Gig memory card recommended on the Dell website for our model PC. We also purchased the burner and software on our own. But how to install all this stuff! Computer Doctors answered my phone call promptly, they were very helpful and were able to send out a technician within 24 hours of my call. He arrived promptly at the appointed time, and clearly know what he was doing. It turned out we should have bought 2 512 chips and not a single 1 Gig card (thanks Dell), but he was able to sell us what we needed. So the price we paid included not just the 2-hour service call but 2 memory cards. Everything runs beautifully now, and he did a great job of cleaning up our cluttered old system. It was absolutely worth the money we paid, as it saved us from buying a whole new PC (which we seriously considered).

It was a great experience. They were very friendly and helpful. I had to drop the laptop, etc. off and come back at the end of the day. They called me to tell me that the hard drive was damaged. I asked them if they could sell me a new one and they said yes. When I returned at the end of the day to pick it up and pay, they didn't even charge me for the diagnosis or labor. They only charged me for the new hard drive. They were very professional and contacted me as soon as they had tested the new defective hard drive.

Victor Marini did a magnificent job. He was a Gentlemen to work with. He was incredibly patient working with my old unit. Gave me a knowledgeable inspection. Followed up with me throughout the process, and eventually found out he only needed to clean the unit. He did so at a fraction of the cost of his original estimate, and let me know how to maintain the unit in the future. I was impressed with their honesty, their professionalism and their willingness to spend plenty of time to solve my problem. I would use them again in the future. They were like family by the time I left.

They were great. They showed up on time. Were incredibly presentable and polite (not freakish tech geeks) and resolved our issue at a fair price. I plan to use them again and again.

I found this company on Angie's List and called this morning, because I was afraid my desktop computer had gotten fried last night during an electrical storm. Our power had gone out, and when it came back on, the computer would not power up, other than the fan. When I called Victor, he listened to my story, asked a couple of questions, and told me to unplug the computer, plug it back in, then try to power up again. He said that if this didn't work, I should bring him the machine, and he would do diagnostic tests in front of me and give me an estimate for fixing it. He thought that it might be a blown power supply, in which case the repair would total about $70.00. All of which sounded great to me. We followed his instructions about the unplugging, and the machine works fine again! I would go to him in a second if I every have another computer issue.

Great. The installer showed up on time, with a helper who was skinny enough to crawl through the attic. My input was sought about port placement, and all random questions about quality of the ethernet cable, etc. were answered. Job took two hours and the house was left clean -- drill dust cleaned, garbage disposed of.

I contacted Victor Marini on Thursday night, after finding the name of his company on Angie's List and after reading others' reviews. Victor offered to meet me at 9:00 a.m. Friday in his office. Once we met, Victor immediately began running diagnostic programs and, within 45 minutes, he had discovered the problem. At 5:00 that day, he told me that my CPU was functioning and that I could pick it up, or I could leave it for further testing, free of charge. I left my CPU until Saturday afternoon. When I came to pick it up, Victor spent at least 30 minutes with me, explaining what he had done and noting that my spyware was inefficient. He then helped me download a shareware program that handles spyware more efficiently.

Everything went very well! They are friendly and professional. I dropped off my laptop and new harddisk after my work and before they close at 6pm and picked it up the next day after they called me. They also installed an Office Suite compatible w/Microsoft for free after I asked if they can install Word and Excel. They said to install the actual Microsoft is a couple hundred dollars and the open version works just as well! They also installed anti-spam and anti-spyware software and since I already had an antivirus software at home, they reduced the cost. Overall, their service is excellent and prices are very good. I'm glad I chose them and I highly recommend them to get professional service with great value!
