CHOICE PAINTING

I think $1500 is too expensive for the amount of work that was done.  But what really made me unhappy was that the paint in the bathrooms started to peel right off the walls 3 days after they were done.  And they missed some of the patches that were needed, and left some areas a little bare (you could see the old paint through the new paint).  I called them to report the problem with the bathroom walls, and to their credit they came out and repainted them.  However, even though I asked them to make sure they sanded and primered the walls, the 2nd paint job is also peeling off the walls!  I don't understand it.  It's quality paint... I bought it myself.  And they said they did sand and primer the walls, although I'm not sure I believe them.  I'm not going to have them come back a 3rd time, but neither will I ever use them again in the future.  Also, when they came back and painted the bathroom walls the 2nd time, the painter was really sloppy and he got the colored paint on the newly white painted doors.  Now the back of my freshly painted bathroom doors look a bit psychodelic.  Sigh.

On both occasisions their price was very good, they were very responsive and worked to resolve problems. Unfortunately, the first time the lines were sloppy, and work had to be redone. The second time it took days longer than it should have because they tried to cut corners by not priming the wall. They work hard to fix the problems and are very responsive but the work quality is not that good.

Their work was fabulous. They were our low bidder and gave us great references that made us comfortable to go ahead. We had add on painting as we went along and their prices were fair and we added on everything. They scheduled us with a short notice of 2 days and were always on time, and returned all my calls right away. We are selling the house and the real estate agents thought it looked great too. One teensy complaint is that the paint on the kitchen drawer and door edges is a little thick and we have to do some sanding so they will close easily-but maybe that is due to the age of the house .

CLEAN, EXCELLENT WORK, INCLUDING PAINTING INSIDE CLOSETS, HAVING FLAT PAINT ON WALLS AND GLOSSY PAINT ON ALL TRIM. NEAT - NO DRIPS OR SPILLS. BEST OF ALL, THE LIGHT SOCKETS AND WINDOW HANDLES WERE DONE METICULOUSLY. TRUSTWORTHY AND FAST.
