What a great experience! I called on a Monday or Tuesday AM and had a call returned within 90 minutes, they were able to schedule me on Thursday that week! They quoted over the phone and explained that when Sonny the onsite tech came he would evaluate my needs. I had a sofa and chair that were very dirty from 7 years of baby to child bouncing around on them and spilling stuff. The same goes for my danish dining chairs with antique upholstery fabric on them. Sonny was very punctual and came a bit early as my schedule had cleared up for the day. At first he was a bit apprehensive as he said the stains were pretty bad and he has 20 years of experience, a bit embarrassing for me but we agreed that he didn't want me to have expectations everything would come out. We decided to test run on one of the dining chairs as that was the cheapest of the options to start with. Sonny sold himself a bit short, the chairs turned out wonderful!!! He then went ahead with the rest of the work, he was very meticulous and thorough, took him around 5 hours to do all the work, but after the fabric was cleaner and smelled great too. We can get a few more months out of the sofa and also not have to recover the dining chairs thanks to their work. Others may be faster and cheaper but you get what you pay for, Sonny's experience really shows and he is a dying breed of workmen/artisans filled with experience and knowledge. So happy I chose them to clean my upholstery. Highly recommend.

I've used Chem Dry for years and have had another tech clean my furniture. They sent someone new, Sonny. The first time he was supposed to come, he was supposed to come between 10-12 and I didn't get a call from him until 12:30. It was too late to complete the job so I rescheduled. The next time he came, all he did was complain the whole time he was there. He cause such trouble for my housekeeper. He wanted to charge extra for everything. It was the same service that I had requested for the last 4 years. Sonny even called the previous tech (Winston - who left the company). Winston told Sonny that YES, you had to move the furniture around, he told him what he was supposed to do at not charge. Sonny then called his boss and had a heated discussion with him. On top of it all, Sonny did not do as good as a job. I called the boss after the service to give my credit card to pay. I told him about the problems that we had and he wouldn't do anything to make me feel better about the situation or to encourage me to use this company again. They have lost a long time customer and they didn't seem to care.

"I am sorry what transpired in the service we provided for Member. Yes it is true what we provided for her in the past when Winston was with the company. However, Winston is Winston, and we can not always duplicate what a previous worker had provided. We provided moving extra furniture at no extra cost to please her. The housekeeper who was in charge of the house while we did the service somehow expected Sonny to do exactly what Winston did. That is not realistic. Everyone is different and Sonny is not new to this business. He has been with our company for 9 years and been doing this type of work for 19 years. We normally charge extra for moving furniture that is not in the norm. I did apologize to Member for the trouble. I asked her if the cleaning was satisfactory, and she was pleased. However, she was not happy with the way it was handled. Member got her money's worth for the amount of work we did. We spent 5 1/2 hours on cleaning a couch, chair, and 3 area rugs. We did everything Member wanted except reimburse her money for the trouble. I was willing to give her free carpet protection for the next job, unfortunately, it did not get that far. In summary, we are not a perfect company and miscommunication does happen. This was an unfortunate situation. We strive to do quality work on every job. We usually accomplish this feat. About 98% of our customers are pleased and satisfied with our company."

I was very happy with the carpet cleaning done by Chem-Dry of Santa Monica. Sonny arrive at the time promised and spent almost 3 hours prepping, spotting and cleaning the carpet. Areas that were more heavily soiled, he treated twice to make sure all the stains were removed. He is a very experienced and hard working professional . The carpet came out spotless.

Came on time. Polite and friendly. Only one person came to house. I had to help move furniture. Did a pretty good job of cleaning although not all stains were gone a few days later. Did not like the fact that he rolled his wheeled instruments up the stair and across my hardwood floors. Also, would have thought that a carpet cleaner would wear booties to cover his dirty sneakers.

They were good, and they did fine. They charged $75, which was the minimum I think. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

I've been using their services for years. Wilson always does a great job. He reviews the problem areas on the carpets before starting, and always shows me how they've come out. I got tired of my kid's room carpets after 15 years, but with his services and wool carpets they still looked new when I replaced them!

They give a good estimate. They do good quality work. They are very thorough and they take care of lifting all of the furniture. I am really happy with their service. I have used them a couple times.

Called for an appointment and was able to have someone at the house the next day. Sonny was the man - totally personable and good at his job. He took care of the couch and the carpet that morning, and things were back to getting messy after they dried the next day. Both looked great, and pricing was good. Will have them back again when we need another cleaning. He also showed us how their tile and grout cleaning would look - and the grime it cleaned up was frightening. Too bad the quote to do the full job was frightening as well. We'll have to tackle that one some other time.

Winston was courteous and professional. He called to let me know he would be a few minutes late, and he arrived as promised ready to begin the work. He gave an accurate estimate of how long the work would take and cleaned up nicely after everything was done. The carpet looks like new again. I will be using Chem-Dry again.

Winston was fantastic!!! He arrived on time which is always a good sign. I alwys inform the company that I have lots of stairs so they know in advance..Thirty to get into my front door!!! Winston parked his truck outside my garage and carried up all his equipment. He then proceeded to tell me what was involved and how long it would take. He did a very thorough job and was finished in the time he quoted me which was three hours. One of my pet peeves is when after carpets are cleaned the spot often comes back..not with this company. I also felt the price was also very reasonable...I will definitely use this company again...

They arrived on time. Rick explained in detail as to how long the process would take and what procedures would be used. They moved the furniture from each room while cleaning and the put them back in place when finished. Overall, it was a very good experience with Rick and Chem D-Dry Dun-Rite of Santa Monica.

Yesterday morning I had decided to work at home and at the same time catch up on my to do list. At about 9 AM I called Chem Dry - Santa Monica to see if I could get my carpets cleaned sometime this week. Instead, 'Rick' told me that he would be able to send a technician to my house that same afternoon. 'Winston'arrived on time, confirmed Rick's quote and got started right away. Throughout his visit, Winston was both pleasant and professional. At the end of the day, major stains were gone and my old carpets looked just about new! Thanks Chem Dry.

I called on Monday asking if they would come in on Tuesday. I especially asked for "Sonny" since he had such great reviews from other Angie users. I also told the girl that I wanted "deep cleaning" and not the normal cleaning. I told her that I would rate my carpets an 8 out of 10 for how dirty they are. She quoted me approximately $300 or so over the phone. She said Sonny will be there tomorrow. I asked her if I needed to prepare in any way (moving furniture or cable's etc.) and she said no. Same night I had Rick call me and ask if they can change the time they could arrive. while talking to him on the phone, I also realized they were sending me somebody else. I told them I specifically asked for Sonny. After making some rearrangements he told me Sonny will be coming at the time they said he should. I asked him also, if I needed to make any preparations and he said no. The next day Sonny came and quoted me DOUBLE the price. He also said that I could have moved some cables around (put the tv cables in a box or something...). He also said that when the girl on the phone quoted me, she gave me a price for normal cleaning and not deep cleaning, which I had specifically asked for. I ENDED UP HAVING TO PAY DOUBLE THE PRICE since he had already come and I needed to get my carpets cleaned. Rick gave me a $70 discount, but overall, I'd have to admit, I was not happy with how they handled this situation. Sonny was wonderful and I would hire him again in a heart beat. He was very professional, courteous, and sweet. He did an excellent job. But the young girl I spoke to over the phone - overall the office, was not very professional in how they handled this service.

Rick provided an estmate and then provided a demonstartaion of what they would be doing. We then scheduled to have the work done within the week. I also after some discussion arranged for carpet cleaning as well (see second report). Rick and Carlos arrived and set up to begin the cleaning process. Both were very courteous and professional. I was very pleased with the outcome.
