CALIFORNIA MOVERS

Not sure if this is the same company as the "Cali Moving and Storage" or "Cali Movers," but they're the worst ever! I had to move from California to Florida, and they promised that it wouldn't take more than two weeks since they have trucks going out that way at least twice a week. Lies! They make you sign a contract that states they can take up to 30 days, which they verbally tell you is "only a formality" in case they get into an accident or blow or a tire. They delivered my things exactly on the 30th day from the day they picked up my things, and they even lost my ergonomic chair which cost over $700!! They didn't even deliver any of the bolts and screws from furniture they disassembled, which they swore at the time that they would deliver with the furniture. They offered $25 for the chair as a replacement cost, since they claimed they didn't do any of the packing. I packed a few boxes of kitchen utensils and books, and they provided wardrobe boxes and packed all the furniture themselves. But that's still considered "packed by owner" because I didn't pay for them to pack a few boxes! Also, when they didn't deliver during the week they said they would, I called them everyday to see where they were since I had to start a new job in a few days. I spoke with different people in the warehouse, the sales office, the dispatcher, and everyone they can transfer me to, and no one could tell me where the truck was except the fact that "it's in route." I had to go out and buy new clothes since I had to start a new job and I had no idea when my clothes were getting in. The sales people will sweet talk you into hiring them. But after you sign and they pick up your stuff, forget about getting any help from anyone in that office.
