The main problems that were discovered during inspection were plumbing related. Thankfully my real estate agent referred me to Chris.
He was able to quickly identify and fix the source of standing water beneath the house. He systematically repaired a broken shower pan and an entire shower system, re-using existing tiles that had been bubbling whenever he could. The shower head unit (believe it or not) would have cost $5,000 to replace with a new unit since it was imported from Italy. Chris was able to find someone would could fix it for a few hundred $s. This is just one example of Chris' ability to find cost effective, high quality solutions that best serve the client.
Chris is honest and responsive. I came home a little early once and overheard him telling his staff to make sure that they never take any short cuts since the client deserved their best effort.
I went into homeownership as a stressed out novice, and learned the hard way that this stress is sometimes warranted. I, for instance, contracted a handyman who seemed primarily interested in collecting his money, a gardener who did such a poor job that my next door neighbor complained, a termite company that initially made the shower pan problem worse and a pool cleaning person who did not show up for a month even though he had been paid in advance.
Fortunately I was able to overcome these challenges and now have service providers I can trust. I put Chris Roath and C.R. Plumbing & Construction at the top of that list.
