A worker came as scheduled to look at the situation and give price options. I choose the complete treatment with the longer warranty and full repair to the wall rather than having another person come in to restucco the wall. He explained that I would not need to be present while he completed the task.
The next day, the worker returned (a bit late due to another job.) The worker efficiently prepared, and removed the bees quickly. His assessment of the size of the hive was correct and he was soon done. There were no problems and every care and consideration of property was taken.
I would not hesitate to recommend Bee Green to anyone.
I was originally impressed when they answered their phone on July 4th. We made the appt for Saturday July 5th. It was 1pm when I called to see what was wrong. They called back at 1:45 to say the dispatcher made a mistake... It happens.
They said they could be there about 2:30. I called back and left a message asking the tech call me directly. The tech called to say he could be there btw 4-4:30.
He quoted $350 to which I promptly said 'no'. It was eventually reduced to $150 which is about the going rate. I called their office to see if I could put it on my Visa card and let them know I was disappointed in their customer service. I spoke with a coordinator who was really bad.
The company did remove the hive in about 1 hr 20 min.
These are my opinions based on my 1 experience with them . I could not recommend them but use your own best judgement.
Good luck and thanks.
They were very professional in keeping me informed of arrival time and explaining their procedures. The original quote for the job was $225 but I was able to get a new customer discount from their website which brought the job to $200. My husband and I were very happy with their work.
There was a hive at the top of my chimney it the cavity between the stucco and the brick. Christian was quickly able to determine that it was an old hive. He showed me where the hive was active and explained that it most likely very old and pointed out that it had started on the other side of the chimney but that side was most likely abandoned. He quoted me two different levels of service. 1 level came with a 30 day guarantee and the other came with a 6 month guarantee. I picked the 6 month option.
It was very clear that Christian is an expert in his field and enjoys it. He was very professional. He answered all of my questions clearly. He patched any holes that he made. He was very good at both qualifying and executing his action plan and I felt very comfortable having him in my home.
GREAT JOB CHRISTIAN!! I definitely would recommend Bee Green to anyone.
Just as importantly, Christian took extra care to extract as many bees alive as he could, with the intention to allow them to recolonize. We would not hesitate to call Bee Green again.
Then I met Christian from BeeGreen. It was a tremendous education to watch him work. First he enlarged the knot hole. He smoked the the bees out of the base of the hive and then used a vacuum to suck the bees into a netted container. He finished up with two buckets worth of bees. All along the way, he patiently answered all my questions about bee life. And as an added bonus, he gave me large hunks of comb with the most delicious honey I'm straining it now. He filled the cavity with foam insulation and sprayed to eradicate pheromones. The worker bees returning to the nest will naturally die off after a week. He took off with thousands of bees headed for his home in Lancaster. I don't know if he keeps them all, or sells them off to orchards. That isn't my issue. My desire was to not kill bees and I witnessed that first hand. Christian was so responsive, he is a real asset to the company. And I can tell he really LOVES bees. He wasn't here that long, so on an hourly basis, it wasn't cheap. But it's expertise I'm paying for. He warned me that other services will say they can't save your bees because they're Africanized. In all his time with bees he's come across it three times. Don't be fooled by bee killers. Use BeeGreen.
kill the bees and planned for my own workers to remove the dead bees
and hive and repair the wall. I negotiated a lower price with Julio
at Bee Green, but the deal was and quot;No Warranty.and quot;
The tenant insisted that they come after 4 pm or later. Jeffrey and
his partner arrived around 6 pm, which was perfect. After gassing and
sealing the nest, they gave me advice and left. Two days later I saw
more bees and asked Julio to try again. Although our deal was no
warranty, he scheduled a courtesy trip on the next day. Jeffrey and
his partner came the next day, gassed and sealed in another location,
and told me there was a second nest in the wall.
Several days later, my two workers opened the wall in my tenant's
bedroom and found live bees. The workers bought wasp and bee spray,
then sprayed inside the wall and temporarily closed the wall. I
called Julio at the office. He decided to personally come to my
building and examine the problem. He and a second man arrived the
next day. To everyone's surprise, ALL the bees were dead!
After carefully examining everything, Julio gave me additional
information and advice. He added that if my workers didn't work out,
Bee Green would remove everything, repair the walls, and credit me for
half of the job. For a and quot;No Warrantyand quot; job and three trips to my
building, I thought this was very nice.
We had used Bee Green a couple of weeks prior for an emergency bee situation at one of our properties. They were out within a few hours, removed an hive from inside an exterior wall by going in through the roof as well as removing a live hive from a tree. They patched and repaired everything like new.
I was so impressed with their service and prices, that when I noticed a yellow jacket had flown into a small crack in an exterior wall of my house I immediately called them, knowing if there was one, there must be many more.
Christian came out to the house and I showed him the hole where the yellow jacket had entered. He also did a very thorough inspection of the entire exterior of the house. Not only did he bee proof the hole I showed him, he patched and repaired the entire area better than ever. Would never know that a hole had been there. I mentioned to him that I had heard something up in my attic scurring around a while ago, and on his inspection he had found that a couple of exterior attic screens had been moved out of place, and probably some sort of animal had gotten in there. In addition to Christian bee proofing several exterior holes, as well as removing some small hives starting in one of the eaves by the driveway, he also pushed the attic screens back into place and said he would come back the next day to treat and bee proof the rest of the exterior of the house and would put some insulation into the bigger attic holes and then permanently secure the screens. He did come back and took care of the rest of the house - treating and filling holes wherever necessary, and secured those screens! Christian was thorough, never rushed, and very professional throughout the job.
bee. I killed them both. Next day, another bee. Killed it. Next day,
another. At that point, I figured out they must have been coming out
of the fireplace! Eek! I called two other places first (was not happy
with having to leave a message for one and the unprofessionalism and
scare tactics of the other). Bee Green came out within two hours of
my call. First, he explained everything over the phone so there were no
surprises. He was very professional and assured me the bees wouldn't
be harmed. He said they were scouting my chimney, apparently. He said he would
spray something around to discourage them, but, they might come back.
He also suggested he cover the chimney and spray. We opted for the
second choice, as who wants the bees to maybe come back??! He was
efficient, professional, knowledgeable, and didn't use scare tactics
like two other companies I called did. The price was reasonable (less
than the other two) and we are happy campers. I liked the fact he didn't
hurt the bees (unlike me, lol) You don't want to have to call, but, if
you have to, you want to call Bee Green!
