They did a great job on the repair, done in a timely manner. They replaced the belt and all the relevant parts for the service interval, found and repaired the oil leak, and replaced a few worn parts. I've gone to them several times before for service and repair--they are reliable and trustworthy, and I will continue to get my car serviced there.

They did not fix it because it was too expensive. They bought the car. He knows the car because I have going to him for 12 years with the car. He knows the car and can fix it for cheaper.

The car ran well but had a minor starting problem.  It seeed obvious they didn't want to be bothered.

They had to replace two sensors that were malfunctioning. This is about the fourth time I have brought my car to Barrington and I have not had a follow problems with their repairs.

Have taken my Volvo to this shop a few different times and it's a great non-dealer alternative. For this repair, I called the day before, dropped the key through the slot with a note, and upon calling that afternoon to check on the vehicle, discovered that no one had noticed. Picked up the car and drove it with the mechanic to troubleshoot for future appointment. Future appointment was handled as agreed (key slot) and no charge for the repair. Not the smoothest transaction, but honest and fair guys and polar opposite of the "dealer experience" where every stop is $1,000.

Went to this Volvo specialist since the dealership that I'd used closed its doors. Called the day before, dropped it off with key through the drop box, and got a call the next morning by 10a with diagnosis and estimate. Prices quoted/ paid were same as I had been paying at the dealer for scheduled maintenance. Promised the car by noon the next day and was done by around 10a. Need to take the car back for a slight adjustment, which they've offered to accommodate; will update if any subsequent issue.
