The owner, Richard, came to our house and saw our dogs and suggested that carbonized bamboo flooring was perfect for our house and we would love it! If we have any problems it had a multi year guarantee so there was no risk. If we weer not happy it would be fixed. The day of the install the nightmare started. Before the installers even finished installing the floor started to get scratched and dinged just from their traffic. By the time they were done it was already severely marred and the installer had put the molding around the fireplace horribly crooked and used planks that were cracked and had gaps. Richard the owner NEVER came out to inspect the poor work. He told me over the phone that I had too high an expectation. He sent his main installer out who used wood putty to fill in some of the worst gaps and wood glue to tack down the splinters that stuck up so they were not as bad. He managed to take off and realign the fireplace molding so at least that is now straight. The entire time the installer explained to me how horrible this product was and how I should never have bought it. He explained Mr. Borshack sells it because he just wants to make money but its trash. The floor began to fall apart immediately and crease and scratch with light use. After written letters demanding remediation, Banner called the supplier and told them that the tiles were "peeling up" and that they needed to come look at them. In truth Banner had NEVER come to inspect the crappy job they did, EVER. Tropical floors came out, was very surprised by what they saw as they had been told the problem was not what we had complained about - they said it was an installation problem and hired and "expert" to inspect it. He inspected the floor and reported the floor was NOT carbonized as we had been told and that it was our fault because we walked on it. Basically, we were not supposed to have any furniture on it, walk on it with shoes, allow dirt on it, keep it covered with rugs and not allow the dogs Mr Borshak at Banner carpets has assured us would cause no harm anywhere near the floor. Leftover pieces stored in a dry area in 3 months have grown mold on them. Clearly this flooring was NOT installed correctly AND was not seasoned adequately. Now on top of everything pieces in the corners are coming loose and can be picked up and removed from the floor completely. Stay away. They will sell you anything and say anything. You cannot trust their advice/information or guarantee promises. They do not stand behind their work. Go elsewhere. They are not to be trusted.
