Stole my dolly, charged overages, took longer then expected, had workers steal our house key, hired sub par workers who did not have the requisite experience to complete the job well, wiring was done so poorly the next electrician was surprised our house didn’t burn down.
Description of Work: Replaced flooring for bath and kitchen, paint, appliance install, new kitchen cabinets, minor electrical.

I have been in this business for over 40 years and thought long and hard before responding to this. I am not used to social media, but needed to tell my side of the story. 2 years ago, I remodeled a wonderful home in Venice next to Sasha & [Member Name Removed] Mother. We became friends, and I did some structural work for her home. Because she trusted & respected me after observing my work for several months on a very difficult complete rehab to beautiful finish job, she referred me to help with Sahas & [Member Name Removed] new condominium. Obviously, I offered to help at a reasonable price. We refinished all the floors, and they were happy. We began phase 2 and helped demo and prepare the kitchen for her cabinetmaker. He was delaying, and so against my better judgment, I offered to have my supervisor Henry finish to expedite the job. Thats when it got tricky. The cabinets were not complete, some were incorrect and to be honest there were delays on the job as we attempted to navigate through the difficulties. I sat down with [Member Name Removed] for a friendly Meeting in February of 2023 to discount any works to make him happy. We finalized in an amicable manner. I was there when Henry, my supervisor, helped to take away old appliances & shelving. I took away quite abit of garbage away as well. I believed that [Member Name Removed] had given Henry the dolly, but I could have been mistaken. I honor all my customers, and certainly wanted to be extra helpful to [Member Name Removed] & Sasha because I was friends with their Mother. Projects sometimes don't work out for various reasons, but I certainly would never steal a dolly or their key! It is now a year and a half later, and it is simply not right to accuse me of theft, I take very deep offense. [Member Name Removed] contacted me a few days ago & I even offered to buy him a dolly even though I never had it. I also pointed out to them that there was existing faulty wiring in the condo. We offered to help troubleshoot. I sincerely wish [Member Name Removed] & Sasha the best of luck!

Rita Obermeyer hired Aten Enterprises for a Tenant Improvement job in West Los Angeles for the period of September -October 2022. The job was supposed to be overseen by Rita who claimed to be a project manager. Instead people were hired from Home Depot and didn't know what they were doing. This was done without tenant's permission. Permit fees paid to Zane with Aten Enterprises. Zane cashed the check and never full filled the permit process. Aten Enterprises never completed the job and now continue to make threats for money that is NOT owed to him. Rita was fired. A lot of money was paid out for work that wasn't done correctly. Aten never finished the job. Caused 5 months of delayed opening and non sense. Had to hire people to finish the job. Do not use Aten Enterprises for Rita. Tenant feels that she has been scammed. Warning to all consumers.
Description of Work: Tenant Improvement work. New Wall Partitions, plumbing, electrical.

Contractor refused to pull permits, new bamboo floors were buckled, scratched and not installed properly with bubbling everywhere. Worst construction job Ive ever seen in 20+ years and Ive seen some terrible work.

In over 40 years of business, I have rarely had bad experiences with my clients ( over 260) This client is quite the rare bird. She attempted to defraud her insurance company. I didn't want any part of that. She wrote a bad check to me from her non-profit school for her personal Beverly Hills condo. She refused to follow the HOA rules and pull permits, pushing to get the job done fast. Because I worked for some time with her family, I complied and pushed through the job. She never completely paid me, and tried to make me repair faulty work to the floor by other workers! I have even told her the floor was sinking due to poor condo construction and would come back whenever she liked. Her comments are deceitful and truly unappreciative of my heroic efforts...It was my mistake for trying to help her.
