ARAX ORIENTAL RUG CLEANING CO

I found Arax on Angie's list. They were prompt, picking up the rug the next day after I called. The rug was returned a week later, looking like new. I had been almost ready to throw it away as unsalvageable, but a friend convinced me that it just needed a good cleaning. Arax got rid of all the spots and they must have bleached the fringe because it looks like new. It was a lot of money but they told me up-front how much it would be, and it was worth it (I would have spent much more on a new rug). I am extremely satisfied with their work.

These folks are just great. Professional in the promises they make and the work they deliver.

The rugs are so clean we could eat off of them! If you have a dirty rug, run don't walk to bring them to the ARAX ORIENTAL RUG CLEANING CO. The three rugs were lovely rugs but hadn't been cleaned in a decade. In fact, I had one stored in the basement because it was so filthy. Arax more than restored it to its former glory and now I'm so happy to have it back. The company actually washes rugs rather than using toxic chemicals to remove dirt. I recommend them with total enthusiasm!

It was an excellent service but they were a bit on the expensive side. However, they are one of the few companies that will properly take care of an oriental rug.

Very friendly folks. I arrived and met Aram(?) who has run this family business for years. I learned a lot about the history of the business and a bit of L.A. history as well. These guys clean rugs old style. They are hand shampooed and treated, not steam cleaned. They also, free of charge, did a bit of repair work on some exposed knots (which sometimes get revealed when you clean a rug). My only negative, and this is a small negative, is that I was told the rug would take about a week to do. I said this was fine as I wasn't in a hurry, but when I called in 2 weeks, it wasn't quite finished. They were very apologetic: it seems that they had gotten swamped that week (it was just before Thanksgiving and I think everybody was getting their rugs cleaned before family came. With my family, I should have waited to clean them until after they had left). It was done by the next day though, AND they did the above mentioned post-cleaning adjustments. If you believe in things being done the right way, and you have the time, this might be the last place in L.A. that knows good rugs and cleans them the time consuming, old school way. Now that I have done one rug, I plan on taking the rest of my rugs to be done there.

Since the rugs were small I took them to ARAX myself and saved 20% on the cost of the washing. Mr. Bogosian was very helpful with advice and answers to my questions. The rugs were ready when he said they would be and they are beautiful. My family and I are very pleased.

This is the third time I've used Arax. I called to tell them that I was bringing in my 10x12 foot Mashad carpet. They met me at the door and carried it in. They called a week later (it takes a while for a carpet this large to dry naturally without dryers). When I arrived, they carried it to my car. I thought the charge was extremely fair considering the care and workmanship.

All was well.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB GETTING ALL THE STAINS OUT AND I WAS THOROUGHLY SATISFIED WITH THEIR PROFESSIONALISM. THEY GOT OUT MUCK THAT I THOUGHT WOULD BE THERE FOREVER. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

THEY COST 60$ PER ROOM WHICH IS A LITTLE TOO MUCH. THEY DID A GOOD JOB WASHING THE CARPET THOUGH. THEY WERE NO STAINS OR SPOTS LEFT WHICH WAS GOOD BECAUSE IT WAS DIRTY.
