A rare breed indeed
When Alan first came to discuss the job, we expressed to him what we wanted/needed and he told us how they generally work and the type of work they do. We were at the end of our major living room remodel and the end of our budget. We expressed to Alan our situation and we came to an agreement on the job. His workers were there for two days and I just don't even know how they did such an amazing job in such a short time. One would have to look around the rooms with a microscope to find any flaws.
We also just had our new hardwood floors completed before the paint job. It might sound unbelievable but these guys didn't get one single drop nor speck of paint on our floors! We only had one minor setback (probably due to lack of clear communication on my part) with a small railing that had been primed but wasn't supposed to be as we were planning to stain it. But no problem! Abel immediately fixed the mistake; he sanded off all the primer, leaving the railing back in its raw state. My husband and I stained it and it looks beautiful. You would never know it had been primed because Abel did such an amazing job cleaning it up again.
I would not hesitate to use All Los Angeles Painting Company again. In fact, we need some exterior painting done soon so we'll definitely be calling on them. It's not a cheap paint job, for sure. But remember, you get what you pay for. And if you want darn near perfect painting, you must call Alan at All Los Angeles! And don't be afraid to tell him what exactly it is you're looking for. He's a great guy and I bet you'll be able to come to some sort of agreement you'll both be happy with. We are beyond happy!
We rented a townhouse that we realized had a horrible odor in it from outdoor paint that had been used to paint interior stairs. It made me sick, and it was much worse for my wife, who is chemically sensitive. After checking around, we found Alan, and called him for advice and an estimate to fix the problem. Despite a busy schedule, he asked a lot of good questions and viewed pictures – from which he correctly identified the type of paint that had been used - and recommended stripping the paint with Smart Strip Pro, an eco-friendly, non-toxic stripper. We wanted Alan to do the work, but our building’s management company insisted on their guy doing it, even though we offered to pay the difference. Since this was the same guy who had decided it was a good
idea to put down the outdoor paint in the first place, we were not at all comfortable with this plan, but when we called Alan, he calmed our fears by saying it should be fine provided the maintenance man followed some instructions that he outlined – Alan said that while he’d love the work, he didn’t want us to spend our own money when it would probably be fine as long as the maintenance man used the right stripper. To further put us at ease, he also offered to come by and make sure the guy had prepped the area properly and was doing it right (which we insisted on paying him for, but he didn’t take much) – despite having a very busy day getting things done before a Jewish holiday. As soon as the holiday was over, Alan called to see how things had gone, and said he wanted to come by again at no charge to look at how it had turned out and see if he had any other advice. This is the kind of service you’re not supposed to get in L.A. – or, really, anywhere anymore. We cannot recommend Alan highly enough and will definitely use him for any painting related work when we have a choice in the matter.
craftsmen who did beautiful work and managed to do it quickly and
efficiently. And they cleaned up everything so the whole room looked
awesome and we didn't have to hire a cleaning crew to clean up after
them. It was worth the money not to have to watch over them and worry
if they were going to do a good job. I also appreciated that they got the work done within the amount of time they said it would take them and didn't drag it out.
