A1 did an A1 job hands down!! From Sharon helping my wife decide on quality and color of carpeting to the installation was all superb!! Highly recommend Sharon and her team.

We were provided an install date which was met. The men Nelson and Jose were exceptional and professional. They indicated the job would last 3 days and it did. They did a great job and left the house clean with all furniture in its place and asked if we needed any adjustment of the furniture before they left.

Extremely well. The two men who were sent, Garo and Blake came on time, worked hard for four full days, resolved a glitch calmly and professionally, cleaned up after themselves. I was entirely satisfied with their work. I have used A-1 Floor Covering Co once before with equally satisfying outcomes.

Great. Stan was extremely responsive, personally answering the phone every time and returning my calls when I left messages after hours. He was quick with quotes, accepting orders over email, and keeping me updated with ETAs. He even coordinated the delivery with my tenants so I didn't have to miss work.

After they convinced me it was possible by taking up the 5 layers of linoleum to show me the wood, A-1 did a perfect job that was delivered on time and to estimate. Everything I asked for was included, to a natural satin (matt) finish . Craftspeople came and left on schedule, they worked clean, politely and as quietly as possible. As promised, there was noise only during a day and a half, removing old lino and sanding. 3 coats of sealant were applied, one/ day. Job started a Monday and everything was back in place by midday Friday. They kept me informed every step of the way, calling when held up or to remind me not to step onto drying sealant for 24 hours. The owners managed my questions and concerns with more politeness than I probably deserved. 90 years young, the floors look like they were installed last week. It's just wonderful.

Sam Levy initially quoted me a price of $10 per square foot for the wood, but when I showed it to him on the Internet selling for about $6, he said he was able to get a better price from the manufacturer.

There were many problems with the installation: Spaces as large as 1/8 inch were between the boards, with glue showing. I specifically asked that any boards with dark mineral spots be placed in inconspicuous places, yet the only board with such spots ended up in the middle of the room. The contract said the baseboards would be stained to match the redwood paneling on the walls, yet a stain called "Coffee" was used on them. The threshold they installed between the rooms was cracked, and the boards meeting it were at different levels. (It was hard to see any of this as the work progressed because I couldn't go into the room with the wet glue on the floor.) The workers left some garbage and scraps around our yard.

Sam Levy came out to check all these problems. He never acknowledged that any of my complaints (except about the garbage) were justified, but he did send a crew with a different head man out to fix them (they arrived one morning unannounced.) Their solution for the largest space between boards--very conspicuous by the entrance to the room--was wood filler, which looked terrible. I had to insist that they replace the board with one that fit better, which they did. They also redid the threshold and reduced some of the largest spaces between boards by replacing them. They redid some of the too-dark baseboards. Others we let pass because they will be behind furniture.

We ended up with a B-rated result, but my rating is a C because I had to spend several annoyed hours to get it to a B job and also deal with the disruption for an extra day.

The cleanup and the service was very good. The how company was excellent even who they sent out to do the job

We were very happy with the installation. People were very professional and the price was very reasonable.

Everything was good about it I was very pleased with their price and attitude. They were honest and candid they gave me good advice.

It went well. They were very responsive and I thought that they were reasonable. They were punctual and I just have a very nice relationship with Mr. Levy.

A-1 Floor Coverings was excellent, they were responsive and provided the information I needed and recommendations and were on time. I'd used them previously and Stan the owner is very involved with the work he does. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I've using them for years and they are the only one I go to. They are on the magazine that comes around for the neighborhood. They are so reasonable that I don't need to go to anybody else. The owner just tells what he has to do. He does not try to pad the bill or do anything like that. Last time he replaced some carpet for me. The guys were here for about three hours and he charged me $500 for the carpet and the work, which is very reasonable.

Stan came over to bring me samples. Excellent follow through. Performed exacctly what was promised and on time.

Everything stands out about them. They are really into personal service. The workers were great. I will highly recommend them.

IT WAS A LOCAL COMPANY. THE PRICE WAS IN LINE WITH TWO OTHERS. WE LIKE HOME DEPOT AND SOME OF THOSE, BUT YOU HAVE TO BE PREPARED TO WAIT FOR HOURS FOR THOSE. THE PRICE WAS THE SAME, AND THE SERVICE WAS BETTER.

THEY REPLACED ALL THE PADS AND CARPETS IN THE HOUSE THEY RIPPED OUT ALL THE OLD CARPET AND PAD AND TOOK IT ALL OFF WITH THEM AND THEN PUT THE NEW PAD AND CARPET IN.
