As indicated, we had a problem with a racoon residing under our mobile home. Trapper John responded quickly, after being referred by another provider on Angie's list. I only wish I had been in contact with him before first contacting another company, who was not properly licensed and never should have taken the job -- this wasted about one and one half weeks before getting the real help provided by Trapper John.It was immediately apparent that Trapper John is the real deal! He is responsive, extremely knowledgeable, and thoroughly explained everything he was doing every step of the way. (He is also properly licensed to humanely remove the animals.) Unfortunately, by the time we got together with him, the racoon had had babies. He first sprayed the feremones of aggressive male racoons under the house. He explained that the males are a threat to the mother; he was trying to scare her into moving. He charged us $200.00 up front for the assessment and service; if the animal needed to actually be removed, there would be an additional $65.00 fee, and the animal would be humanely released in an authorized local. Anyway, he made repeated visits and administered treatments to encourage her to leave. He was reluctant to trap unless necessary, because of the babies who would then scatter and be difficult to locate. He, with our permission, waited until the babies had their eyes opened, which would make the mother more likely to be willing to relocate them. He was just about ready to resort to setting a trap, when, hooray!!! They left. We were very pleased with the professional, knowledgeable service and would recommend Trapper John to anyone with a similar problem.
