WOOD-N-NICHOLS

This might have been the best home improvement experience I've ever had.

I was referred to Tom Nichols by the company from which I purchased our engineered wood floors after my first installer delayed my project (three times!) and raised his cost estimate (twice!).  I called Tom and he came over the very next day to walk through the house, understand our requirements, and provide a cost estimate.  His estimate was very detailed and outlined EVERYTHING that needed to be done so there would be zero confusion - something that my first installer did NOT do, I suspect intentionally....

Tom and his team started exactly when they said they would, and got the job done right.  They moved all furniture (zero damage), installed cork underlayment, installed wood floors, installed base molding, moved furniture back, and cleaned up after each day.  The team worked very fast, but did a high-quality job.  Tom was closely involved with every step of the project and contacted me at the beginning and end of every day to make sure we were aligned and that the work met expectations.  The work was completed in about a week, including a very complicated stairway and multiple downstairs rooms that had to be raised to match level of tile, etc.

It was so refreshing to work with someone that managed my project as if it were their own home.  There were so many opportunities to cut corners, use cheaper materials, and/or delay work but Wood-N-Nichols did none of this.  At the end of the project, my cost was even less than the initial estimate because Tom mentioned they were able to use fewer materials!  How many contractors do that?  Not many in my experience....  Highly, highly recommend to anyone doing a flooring project.  They're not the cheapest out there, but I'm 100% convinced that the up-front honesty I got from Tom and diligence I received throughout the project saved me more money than I would have paid had I chosen someone that gave me a cheaper per-square-foot quote.  Simply can't say enough good things about these guys....

Great job!!! They matched the stair molding perfectly and customized the trim work. They did extras that were above and beyond our expectations. The workers were very thorough and cleaned up every day

THIS COMPANY DID A AWESOME JOB ON MY FLOORS. I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO WALK ON THEM BECAUSE THEY LOOK SO GOOD. THE MAN WHO DID THE WORK WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. THEY DID THE JOB QUICKLY. THE SMELL OF THE FLOOR PRODUCT WAS STRONG. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.
