They did a really good job and I paid about $700 on that work. We have used them before and they have been very good.

I called for an estimate, and Rick was out at our house within a couple of days. He was very responsive and accomodating of our schedules. His estimate was competitive, and he was very informative during the initial walk around of our house. We were scheduled within two weeks of the initial meeting, during which time we met with thier color consultant. The color consultant was very helpful and worked with us in not only choosing a color for the house, but helped us in forming an overall plan for the exterior of the house. We chose to go with a color of another house in our neighborhood, which she was able to match. Rick and his crew were at our house for two days while we were at work, so there were minimal interruptions. The entire job was done quickly and cleanly. Rick was very easy to work with and we are extremely happy with the quality of the work.

I would highly recommend Painting America. They are a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for. They were very prompt and on time. The workers were really terrific young men. They cleaned up after themselves very well. I didn't even have a speck of dust on the floor after they completed their work. They really went above and beyond. The last day, after they varnished the doors it began to rain, they turned around and came right back out to make sure that they were covered properly. The owner is very professional. He gave me a quote and even though I had some additional things that needed to be completed, the charge remained the same.

It was pretty good. They were always here when they promised. Their prep work was good, and they were pretty good about cleaning up. They were always in contact with me and kept me informed about what was going on, so the communication was good.

Painting America provided their bid and put us in their schedule to allow for us to have a paving stone patio installed before they started the job. The workers arrived between 0800 and 0900 almost daily. They placed their tools and equipment into a single location each day before leaving. They stayed on the job until it was finished.

This company referred by a friend did a great job when they originally painted the exterior a year ago. Everything was right on. What was really nice was the before and after picture before the work was done. About a month ago we finally had some touch ups done which took more time to arrange than anything else. To cut to the chase the company squeezed a one & half to two day job into one (long) day. There was considerable overspray onto the deck, onto a grill cover, onto the pool pump, and an exterior light. At the end of the day it got to be more rushed as the day ran out. I was left to put the pool fencing back together, and now to try to get the overspray off. A little disappointing after such a good start. The price to paint the house was approximately $6500.00. The touch ups and some forgotten work was $1300.00.

"OUR RECORDS, TO INCLUDE BEFORE & AFTER PHOTOS, SHOW NO EVIDENCE OF THIS CONCERN. IN FACT, A QUALITY CONTROL JOB WALK WAS DONE WITH THE CUSTOMER WITH SOME DETAILS CORRECTED, & THE CUSTOMER WAS HAPPY. SO HAPPY IN FACT THAT A PAID IN FULL CHECK WAS PROVIDED. SECONDLY, THIS CUSTOMER REFERRED HIS SISTER TO US WHO CALLED OUR OFFICE SHORTLY AFTER EXPRESSING HOW HAPPY HER BROTHER WAS ABOUT THE WORK DONE, AND THAT SHE WOULD LIKE SOME WORK DONE HERSELF...; WE DECLINED. AS WE SHARE WITH ALL OUR CUSTOMERS, IF THERE ARE ISSUES WE NEED TO RE-ENGAGE AFTER OUR TEAMS LEAVE, JUST CALL THE OFFICE & WE WILL PROMPTLY RETURN & ADDRESS THE CONCERN. IN REFERENCE TO THIS CUSTOMER'S STATEMENT OF UNFINISHED WORK, THIS CUSTOMER ATTEMPTED TO DECEIVE US BY STATING THE TOP OF HIS PATIO WAS NEVER PAINTED THE FIRST TIME WE PAINTED THE EXTERIOR. THE TRUTH IS, THIS CUSTOMER HAD THE TOP COVER REMOVED AFTER WE LEFT; CLAIMING IS WAS NEVER PAINTED. OUR DIGITAL PICTURES BEFORE & AFTER ARE PROOF OF THIS DECEPTION. WHERE THE REAL STORY BEGINS, WE BELIEVE, IS THE FACT THAT WHEN OUR COMPANY DISCOVERED THIS CUSTOMER HAD WRITTEN A CHECK TO US THAT BOUNCED, WE INITIATED A ROUTINE LEGAL PROCESS THAT NO DOUBT EMBARRASSED & OFFENDED THIS CUSTOMER. AFTER WAITING MORE THAN TWO WEEKS FOR FUNDS TO BE SUFFICIENT, AND A REPLACEMENT CHECK THAT CLEARED, WE ARE GLAD THIS WORK ORDER CAME TO A SATISFACTORY ENDING. ON ANOTHER NOTE, IT IS OUR COMPANY POLICY, TO RESPECTFULLY RESERVE OUR RIGHT TO REFUSE CONTINUED SERVICE TO EXISTING CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE WRITTEN US A BAD CHECK. IT IS SADLY DISAPPOINTING TO US THAT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME WE MUST ENFORCE THIS POLICY. SINCERELY – D. DAMRON GENERAL MANAGER, LOS ANGELES COUNTY"

I was extremely happy with the job they did and I was just as impressed with their customer service. They were very accommodating with the short period of time I had available to get this service completed. They provided me with a three day job in a little over a day. There were a couple of areas that needed touched up afterwards, and they were happy to return and make sure I was happy with everything that was done.

Paining America (Rick in particular) gave us an estimate along with 4 other companies I got off Angie's List. Painting America was the only one with a professional bid and an honest approach. My husband and I went with Rick and we do not regret it one bit. Along with painting the interior of our home they refinished our doors, re-framed a wall in our laundry room, drywalled, plastered, removed wallpaper, and did some carpentry. All in all they did an amazing job and I will absolutely use them again. I highly recommend Painting America for ALL your household needs. The money spent is based on the entire project from start to finish.

Upon receiving numerous estimates on painting and refinishing the interior of our newly acquired home we chose Rick based on 2 things. 1. His professionalism and attention to detail. 2. Price. Along with painting the interior, he refinished doors, repaired rotten walls, re drywalled bathrooms, refrained walls, plastered and removed wallpaper. Rick and his crew were very professional and respectful of our belongings. They arrived on time and completed the jobs on schedule. I highly recommend Rick and Painting America for all of your household Robinson. (The price spent was based on ALL projects finished by Painting America.)

I was in sticker shock when I got the quote. I had MANY quotes. I went with PA for the following reasons: Able to also complete my window removal; I didn't have to hire 2 contractors. Offered color consultant and were able to take a picture of my house and display my color choices, although this didn't work out as I had hoped. Rick was very professional, personable & competent. You knew that he knew his business and was going to make sure you were happy with the results. It looks like we have a new house. The crew was extremely personable and professional, their clean up was impeccable every night and they were easy to communicate with. We were not home during much of the prep. All of our neighbors commented on how much attention to detail was given. They had their houses painted previously and had not seen this type of workmanship before. They do not cut ANY corners. I could go on and on about the detail of their work and how happy we are with the results.

I found these guys on Angie's List and they were great. I loved them. They were perfect. They worked hard and I really think they lost money on me more than they made it. I was totally satisfied.

Painting America did a really good job. A few problems did come up that I thought they could have done a better job on. I also wish their prices would have been a bit cheaper, but I would still recommend them to others in our area looking for painters.

Exceptional job. All work was performed as quoted, with no extras or additional charges. The amount I paid was exactly what was quoted. The team showed up on time, and Rick, the CEO, was personally on site during many of the days to make sure his workmen were performing excellent work. They did a GREAT job. They even made several trips to a custom moulding shop so everything would be perfect.

Exceptional job. The doors were perfect. An extremely difficult bi-fold door was personally hung by Rick, the President. His team showed up when promised, did a brilliant job, and cleaned up after themselves. Great experience.

FABULOUS experience from start to finish. Rick's team members are all professionals. The job was quoted with all charges included - no hidden charges, no surprise "extras". He showed up when promised, and was one contractor who cleaned up after every day on the job. The work was stunning. The extra help of having a color consultant free of charge was also appreciated. I would completely recommend Painting America for ANY job, large or small.

Rick was a gem from start to finish. The actual job cost was slightly less than the estimate given, for which I was grateful. The detail and care that went into the prep and application was unlike anything I've experienced, and I've remodeled a lot of homes. Rick worked with me on color selection for the lighting and feel of the home, and also to highlight the architectural nuances in the house. Once the job was complete, the home was cleaned and put back in order. Rick's expert paint crew increased the value of this property considerably. I would recommend Rick and Painting America to anyone, and I will be using them again for my next projects!

Very good. The job was scheduled immediately after we paid the deposit, the crew arrived the day scheduled and on time and continued to come consistently until the job was finished.

They came the same day I called to do the estimate. The painting was started two weeks later and completed in one week. They were efficient, clean and quiet. Excellent customer service. They called daily to check on how they were doing. I am going to have them paint the interior next.

Rick was very courteous and prompt in returning my calls. He came out and gave us an estimate and, later, his color consultant also came out to help us select the colors. Rick provided paint samples to let us visualize the color combinations. The work required about two weeks, as a lot of prep work (scraping, cleaning, sanding, etc.) had to be done prior to the priming and painting. Overall, Rick is very meticulous, but his instructions did not carry down through his painters. We are satisfied with the painting, but his crew was very sloppy. They left trash, cigarette butts, in the yard. They also left paint overspray and paint drips on the cement walkways. They came out and did a little clean up, but I really expected to see the cement walkways as clean or cleaner than when they started the job.

"WE ARE GRATEFUL THIS MEMBER STATED THEY ARE SATISFIED & WOULD HIRE US AGAIN. FOR 10 DAYS, 6 PAINTERS UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF EDDIE & ARMANDO, DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB IN THE RESTORATION OF WOOD SURFACES THAT HAD PEELING PAINT GREATER THAN 90% ON SUBJECT SURFACE. TO SUGGEST THAT RICK'S INSTRUCTIONS DID NOT CARRY DOWN THE CHAIN OF COMMAND TO 2 OF HIS MASTER PAINTERS IS OF COURSE, ABSURD, RESPECTFULLY. AS THE MEMBER STATED, RICK IS INDEED METICULOUS. RICK FOLLOWS UP ON EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING!! IT IS COMMON TO HAVE A MINIMAL AMOUNT OF OVER SPRAY REQUIRING A SMALL AMOUNT OF CLEANING. MANY YEARS BACK, WHEN SUBJECT PROPERTY HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY PAINTED, THERE WERE LOTS OF PAINT DROPPINGS OF A COLOR DIFFERENT THAN WHICH WE WERE APPLYING. BECAUSE THOSE PAINT DROPPINGS WERE ON "STAINED CONCRETE", THERE WAS NO WAY TO REMOVE SAID PAINT DROPPINGS WITHOUT DAMAGING THE STAINED CONCRETE. CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT THINK ITS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CLEAN UP PAINT DROPPINGS WE DID NOT CREATE. IN REFERENCE TO REPAIRING OR REPLACING DAMAGED WOOD, OF COURSE WE USE BHS EXTRA STRENGTH "WOOD REPAIR BONDO" EPOXY UPC 076303200206. IT IS "THE BEST" PRODUCT TO USE FOR WOOD PATCHWORK. IT IS RARE, BUT CUSTOMERS SHOULD STOP THINKING THEY HAVE A PULSE OF WHICH PRODUCTS & HOW WE SHOULD APPLY OUR APPLICATION PROCESSES. WE EXPECT CUSTOMERS TO SHARE WITH US WHAT THEY WANT DONE; BUT PAINTING AMERICA WILL TELL CUSTOMERS HOW IT WILL BE DONE. IN REFERENCE TO THE DEBRIS, IT WAS NOTED AND CORRECTED. GENERAL MANAGER"

They were punctual, friendly, and clean. They performed as per quotes in a timely fashion. Rick is consumer oriented and made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. Cleanup could have been better, but all in all they did an excellent job.

Despite the advance payment for a guaranteed start date the crew (usually one, but never more than 3 painters) arrived in late afternoon and insisted on painting after dark & on weekends which was against the Homeowners Rules. They consistently missed the promised completion dates and were so far behind they began slapping paint on with out any prep, doing damage to the woodwork, floors, mirrors, and fixtures. Rick insisted that 85% of the work was done when the bathrooms, kitchen and pantry, and 15 very intricate casement window had not even been touched. Not one room was completed, and the prep work he promised was never done. He insisted on a total of $3575 to be paid at the end of the first day when no work had been done except taping the floors. He wanted another $1462. After he oversprayed the hardwood floors, carpet, corian countertops and mirrors with oil based paint and neglected to plug the freezer back in causing water damage to the floors, then served me with lien papers.

"WE DID EXERCISE OUR MECHANIC LIEN RIGHTS. THIS MEMBER BEGGED THE OWNER TO SQUEEZE HER INTO OUR CALENDAR CONSIDERING OUR CALENDAR WAS BOOKED FOR 3WKS. SYMPATHETIC TO HER NEEDS, VACANT CONDO, OPEN HOUSE DEADLINE & HER INSISTENCE ON ONLY USING PAINTING AMERICA, RICK STATED THAT THE ONLY WAY TO SUPPORT THE DEADLINE WAS IF THIS MEMBER AUTHORIZED WORK BETWEEN 6PM & 6AM. PERMISSION WAS GIVEN. HAD SHE NOT, SHE WOULD HAVE STOPPED US THE FIRST DAY EXPLAINING CC&R RULES. ONE WORK DAY LEFT, 4 DAYS AHEAD OF CONTRACT & 7 DAYS BEFORE THE OPEN HOUSE, BOTH PARTIES WERE EXCITED ABOUT MEETING BOTH DEADLINES. HERE ARE QUOTES FROM AN E-MAIL THIS MEMBER SENT OWNER ON THANKSGIVING DAY: "IT'S REALLY EXCITING TO SEE IT ALL COME TOGETHER, EVEN WITHOUT THE FINAL TOUCHES". "THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL THE HARD WORK YOU'VE PUT INTO THIS. I'LL BE SURE TO TAKE LOTS OF GOOD BRAG PICTURES". DAY BEFORE COMPLETION, THIS MEMBER ENTERED THE CONDO ACTING VERY STRANGE ASKING THE LEAD SUPERVISOR WHY PAINT WAS ON A PARTICULAR WALL WHEN NO PAINT HAD BEEN APPLIED ON SAID WALL. THIS FRIGHTENING BEHAVIOR CONTINUED SO MUCH THAT THE SAFETY OF OUR EMPLOYEES BECAME PARAMOUNT. RICK ARRIVED. MEETING RICK SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE, SHE LOOKED AT RICK & ASKED WHERE'S RICK. RICK THEN MADE THE DECISION TO REMOVE THE TEAM IMMEDIATELY. IN REFERENCE TO THE ABOVE PICTURES, WE NEVER UNPLUG REFRIGERATORS. THE PAINT OVERLAP PICTURE IS WORK IN PROGRESS. PROGRESS PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE. IF NOT, A MECHANICS LIEN WILL BE FILED. GENERAL MANAGER"

Rick Carter was really wonderful although very late for first appt. His color decorator was very helpful although we ended up disliking the colors after placed on walls. The painters themselves were horrible. So bad that Rick supposedly fired one when he saw what a sloppy job was done. To this day, 6 months later, there are still drips of paint on my new wood floors and down the wall as well. He offered to come back and fix this messy job but never got back in touch with us. I didn't call him either since it was just easier getting someone in who was able to do a better job. I paid the new painters what I owed in the balance to Rick's company. The whole process was a nightmare. They said I could have someone stay in my home with the dog but the first day came and I was told absolutely not. They also painted from 9pm to early morning so no one even if they wanted to would be able to be in the house. Yes, Rick was great but he didn't do the painting.

"WHEN IT CAME TIME FOR A QUALITY CONTROL/ASSURANCE WALK-THROUGH, THERE WERE DETAILS THAT REQUIRED FURTHER ATTENTION. IT IS ROUTINE & COMMON WITHIN ANY ORGANIZATION WHO BELIEVES QUALITY PARAMOUNT TO HAVE A QA/QC PROGRAM. WE DO NOT BELIEVE THE DETAILS THAT REQUIRED FURTHER ATTENTION WAS THE CONCERN. IT'S ONLY PAINT. SUCH DETAILS ARE EASILY CORRECTABLE. A PROFESSIONAL COLOR CONSULTANT WAS ASSIGNED TO PROVIDE A VARIETY OF CHOICES. THE CUSTOMER MADE COLOR CHOICES HERSELF; AND ONLY AFTER THE SUBJECT PROPERTY WAS COMPLETELY PAINTED DID SHE DISLIKE THE COLORS SHE SELECTED. WHEN THE CUSTOMER STATED SHE HATED HER COLOR CHOICES, SHE WAS VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT IT AND THEN, EVERYTHING BECAME NEGATIVE FROM THAT POINT. EVERYTHING! THE OWNER INFORMED THE CUSTOMER THAT THE CORRECTIONS CAN BE MADE THE SAME WEEK. BUT THE CUSTOMER STATED THAT SHE HAD FAMILY ARRIVING, AND THAT SHE WOULD CONTACT RICK PERSONALLY WHEN SHE WAS READY FOR THE PAINTERS TO RETURN. CUSTOMERS ARE PROVIDED WITH LARGE SAMPLES OF THE COLOR CHOICES THEY MAKE MANY DAYS BEFORE OUR TEAMS ARRIVE. WE DO THAT SO THAT A CUSTOMER CAN BECOME CONFIDENT WITH THE CHOICES THEY MAKE. WE RESPECTFULLY REGRET THIS EXPERIENCE. GM"

THIS WAS THE BEST COMPANY I EVER HAD WORK DONE FROM. FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN THE LIVING ROOM WAS DONE IT WAS DUSTED, FURNITURE REPLACED AND PICTURES HUNG ON WALL. THIS ATTENTION TO DETAIL PREVAILED THROUGHOUT THE JOB. STAFF WAS ON TIME, AND CLEANED UP THEIR MESS EVERYDAY. THEY DID SUCH A GOOD JOB THAT WE WERE ABLE TO LIVE IN THE HOUSE DURING THE PAINTING (AN UNEXPECTED PLUS). I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW GOOD THIS COMPANY IS. THEY PROVIDED A COLOR CONSULTANT, AND AS A RESULT WE HAVE A BEAUTIFUL UNIQUE HOUSE. RICK CARTER THE OWNER IS UNBELIEVABLE IN HIS ATTENTION TO EVERYTHING. THE REST OF THE STAFF INCLUDED 2 MASTER PAINTERS THAT WERE ALSO EXCELLENT. THE JOB WAS DONE ON TIME, AND RICK WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO DO LITTLE THINGS I ASKED HIM TO DO. THE PRICE WAS COMPETITIVE AND MORE THAN FAIR FOR THE AMOUNT OF WORK DONE. I AM HAPPY TO TALK TO ANYONE ABOUT THIS COMPANY AND RICK. I HAVE NEVER MET ANY CONTRACTOR LIKE HIM, AND WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN!

I had some trouble getting in touch with Rick for an estimate due to personal illness on his part, but once we touched bases he followed through very nicely on what we had discussed, including starting the job on the promised date. The crew was very prompt in showing up on each day and cleaned up after themselves. I was able to leave the garage door opener with them each day so they could paint the trim around the doors without fear of it being left open by mistake or things disappearing. They did paint the front door trim the wrong color which I discovered after coming home from a short trip (they had finished the painting while I was gone), but Rick came out and repainted the trim himself. I was very impressed by this company.
