The expantion of our 1962 home required matching the existing hard wood flooring in very conspicuous areas. Jovi had to level an existing concrete slab porch surface as well as a newly poured slab to match the level of the center of the house which is raised foundation. The new area is approximately 600 Sq Ft. This required serious grinding and leveling compound for the application of a new sub floor.
He installed new ply sub flooring and then new Red Oak planks. He had to search his suppliers for the planks and found the exact match from the same manufacture from 1962. He let the planks aclimate in our house for several weeks and then installed them with his crew.
During installation, he created a line of upright pennies between certain key planks, we questioned him wondering what that was about and he told us that as the wood adjusted the gap would close, when he removed the pennies it closed to a perfect seam. We could not tell where they were once removed.
The next step was sanding and resealing the entire floor, old and new approximately 1200 Sq Ft. He applied three coats of high quality polyurethane for an amazing finish. The match of old to new is exquisite!
They were reliable, talented and respectful of our space. Two years later, the floor is still amazing and one of our favorite parts to our remodel. We still brag about it and his craftsmanship. We have recommended him at least twice to friends and neighbors.

Awesome!!!!  They showed up when they said they would, they cleaned up after themselves, they were polite, diligent, and professional.  It was nice to see people taking their time to do the job correctly the first time in such a hasty world as this has become.  I can't say enough good things about Jovi and his workers.  Hire them, you won't be disappointed.

Arrived prepared, organized, focused on job. Immediately got to work. Jovi & 3-4 guys. They were a synchronized team. They removed the interior doors & temporarily stacked them in the kitchen. The heavy equipment was consistently organized, daily, in 1 small area of the yard. They took great care in preventing breakage/damage, especially with the bulky sanders. Jovi was open to questions & comments, not at all perturbed by the occasional audience. He customed-mix the stain & allowed time for this customer to ponder a decision. He made sure I was satisfied each step of the way before going on to the next step. Upon completion, the crew left the house & yard, spotless. They even vacuumed. I was dreading the sawdust clean-up, but had little to contend with. Jovi returned about a week later to follow-up on his work..inquiring if I'd discovered any areas that needed touch up (none did). He did the same thing at the last visit, as he did on the first day he came here: he got down on his knees & examined the floor, brushing his hands across the floor surface. Impressive.

Jovi does fantastic work and is extremely professional. He was prompt, thorough, polite, and did a beautiful job. He took me to see two other jobs he was working on before accepting the original contract to refinish our floors. Recently, I called to have him replace some water damaged hardwood flooring that a plumber suggested needed to be replaced. Jovi came out to look at it, assured me it need not be replaced. He said it did not need anything done but could be sanded and refinished to make it look better. I was impressed that he gave me this assessment, despite the fact that I was ready to pay to have the wood completely replaced. He also gave me a little plumbing advice while he was there. No charge.

Jovi's crew arrived within a couple of weeks of being called and completed their work in three days. We had to wait one more day for the last coat of polyurethane to dry. They pulled up the old carpeting and started sanding and buffing the floors within the first day. To fill in the hole left by a removed floor heater, they installed new boards to match the existing floor -- no one can tell that it hasn't always looked that way. The floors look beautiful. Jovi has done work for us before and we've always appreciated the superior quality of the job his crews do.
