Discovered a leak on Sunday and couldn’t find anyone to answer the phone. J & D had an answering system and was called back by Bob right away. He was very helpful but because I live far from Long Beach he recommended I find someone local. Very professional.

Have a 1984 condo with a small alcove off the kitchen for washer and dryer. Spent days shopping for washer and dryer to fit the space, Finally discovered flat back models and thought they'd be the answer. Washer OK, but dryer was still about a 1/2 inch too far out to be able to close the bifold doors. I found a periscope vent and J&D came out and made it work. Finally got washer and dryer up and working and can use them without removing the bifold door each time. They even came back to add extra tape to duct work to keep excess air from escaping. They really do, as their website said, take time to get the odd job done right.

They are very reliable and show up within a day. They are very nice people.

Cory did a great job of removing the old fixtures and installing the new Moen faucet that I purchased at Lowes. He also helped remove the build up around the old faucets and the sink cleaned up like a new one. He also cleaned the drain out as well, so everything drains well and works smoothly. It looks so good that I don't think I'm going to need to do a new sink and countertop after all! I think the price was reasonable and he gave me some good advice about replacing some other fixtures in the future.

They are good plumbers. They did what I asked them to do and they are always prompt and courteous. I call them whenever I need them.

A great experience. Steve from Jand D got here promptly, diagnosed the situation and had it fixed all within an hour. He left the kitchen neat and clean, and was completely professional in explaining what he was doing.

Steve arrived within the slotted time. He immediately determined that the problem was the vent pipe was disconnected and corroded. He then replaced the vent pipe and cleaned up afterward. I would definitely call them again.

I was having an issue with my shower backing up with water. I called J and D to service my mobile home. Rick came to my house to help me solve my problem. I took him around the house to the plumbing on the outside of the house. I explained that I believed the blockage was coming from the pipe running through the outside of the house. He tried to snake the drain from the shower and toilet and became frustrated when this did not work. I started to feel uncomfortable that he became so upset. Next he moved to my sink which is brand new and cut through the piping under the sink. I asked him not to and told him there was no problem with the sink. He said he did not know what to do and that he tried everything. He called the main office asking for advice. He then mentioned a bi-pass that would cost me over 500$. The manager of my complex came and told him the clog was possibly coming from the initial spot I took Rick when he arrived. He eventually opened the cap and fixed the clog outside. I am so upset that he did not clean up after himself. The inside of the bathroom was a mess and the pipe he had to cut was never properly put back together and now makes a gurgling sound. I am also upset with the billing. I was never given a receipt with an itemized breakdown of why I was charged so much after being told It was a flat hourly fee. Not only did they round up the time but charge me for travel time that was never mentioned to me. I am an elderly lady and I cant help but feel I was taken advantage of and am unable physically to go outside and clean up the mess that was left behind. I am very disappointed in there service and feel I need to warn others about the work they are doing.

After the initial service call, this company was very unresponsive. They were on time for the service call and found the problems. But, I had trouble getting them back for an estimate to repair the gas pipe leak and to quote replacing my furnace so I had someone else do the pipe repair. They finally came about a week later for the new furnace quote. They took all the info but I never got a quote and never heard from them again. I was a bit discouraged with my first experience with Angie's List. However I got some other quotes through Angie's list will be installing a new funace on 2/14. Also: When sceduling the initial service call, I was given rate of $80 an hour for the trouble shooting. I ended up being charged $180 for 2 hours which is $90 an hour. (I noticed the 2 hrs labor on the invoice after the tech left so I didn't bother complaining about it)

They were good. I think they were reason ally priced as I have had the same thing done by other companies earlier. They did a good job. They had to just come and drill out some roots. They were pretty prompt in responding. I had a hard time with people not calling me back and they called me back. I will definitely use them again in the future if needed.

They were very professional and reliable. They came and took care of the problem pretty quickly. It was a pretty good experience. I don’t know if they were a lot better than any other company, but they were good and they did the job efficiently. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

Everything went fine. He was very nice and came when he said he would.

I had a stopped-up drain - bathroom lavatory. Plumber arrived quickly. He called ahead and arrived shortly after calling. He made an assessment of the problem, set to work and had the drain cleared in a very short time. He was professional, but friendly. He cleaned up after himself and was on his way after presenting me with a bill. The charge for his services was as I expected. I would use the services of this company again. I am very pleased with the services provided by J&D Plumbing;, specifically with the job done by individual who performed the work

The repairman, Rafael, came to fix a leak and discovered it was coming from the angle stop and also from the base of the toilet due to an aged wax ring. He explained what the problems were and then what it would take to repair them before he began any work. He made sure I understood everything, gave me pricing and then got to work. He was quick, efficient, professional and friendly.

The disconnection work went smoothly and the work was cleaned up well.

They were very prompt, timely and did the job in less than an hour. I thought the price was reasonable, too. I would use them again.

I read the reviews regarding this company from others on Angies List and felt assured that I would finally be able to get the toilet repaired correctly. I have had 2 plumbers work on it and water kept running. When I called I was able to get the work done on the day I chose. I told the woman who does the schedule the situation and said I wanted the insides totally rebuilt and so to bring everything. She explained that it is sometimes cheaper to replace the toilet. I have a vintage bathroom and explained I would probably want to keep my existing pink toilet. The appointment was set up for 8:30. About 8:20 the plumber called, asked if I had put up a water off sign in my complex and then said he was going to leave his shop then. He showed up about 8:40 but said it was 8:30 when he gave me the bill. I questioned him about this and he insisted he was on time. I have never seen anyone work so slowly! He charged me for 2 hours, very little of which was spent working on the toilet. It seemed much of that time was involved going to and from his truck, and included the 15 minutes to write up the work order! He left dirt on the floor and my bathroom rug. So far the toilet seems to be working.

On time, reasonable rate, responsive. Said they weren't taking new customers (I was new) but when I told them I got their name from Angies List they accepted the job.

J&D Has a number of people working for them and, for the above noted jobs, I have experienced working with two different people. It began with the inspection report on the new house and the repairs recommended therein. J&D went through the report and looked at each item and told me what was critical and what could wait. They were available to work that same week and, because I needed to coordinate my schedule, did the various jobs above in stages. The one person I started with had to go on medical leave which is why I ended up working with two different people. Otherwise my impression is they prefer to keep one specific person working with the client because he knows the house in question and the client as well. However, both were very punctual and thorough and the work was done quickly and, as far as I can tell, perfectly.

Originally called J&D and they said they would send someone out Friday afternoon to look at the job. No one showed up. After calling again, they indicated that they must have misplaced the ticket and they came out on Saturday to assess the work at no charge. On Monday, received a call back providing the cost to replace the water heater and circulation pump. Set it up for approximately 10 days later. Plumber showed up on time and spent about 3 hours replacing the equipment. At one point he had to call for assistance to get the water heater into the confined space. Job was very well done and did a decent job cleaning up. Actual cost came in a little higher because they had to replace several very old valves (not a surprise).

They did a very good job and I was very satisfied with their work. They were very professional, punctual and explained things really well. They were quick and finished the work in timely manner. I would recommend them to others.

We called to have them unclog a backed-up shower drain, and Brendan arrived within two hours of the call. We actually managed to unclog it ourselves before he came, but in the process realized that a large section of pipe in the shower drain was corroded and leaking. We asked for an estimate to replace the pipe (both price and time), and agreed to it. He started immediately, came in under the estimate on both price and time, and did a thorough professional job.

We've had J&D plumbers out to our house a couple times for various plumbing issues and their service is always reliable and professional. The plumbers are very knowledgable and the prices are reasonable for the quality of work.

He was great & was very clear & upfront with us that it was going to cost more because it was over the holidays. He was also a very honest guy. We were going to have him put the new one in but he told us that it wasn't that hard to do & he would be happy to give us some tips on how to do it. He said that it would be really expensive since it was over the holidays if we were to have him do it. He didn't have a problem doing it & would be more than happy to do the job, but he was just giving us a suggestion to try to save us some money which I thought was really nice. He was very professional & called us in advance to tell us when he would be there. We didn't have any real issues with him at all. The only thing was that it was expensive as hell because it was over the holidays but that wasn't his fault. The quality of his work was really good & we would use him again in the future.
