cy. important to me was having the same employee service my house. this only lasted the first 2 visits and after that it was adhoc folks. They went from be very well prepared and familiar with my issues to have me have to show them the whole house and specifics to get the job done. Once it was raining and the guy said he could only do indoors, which is not their policy. While they worked hard to fix the problems after the fact it, just became too much work for what should be a simple process.
Corporately I think they have good people and good intentions. If your happy with them in your area then keep them. They are not the cheapest, and i expected more professionalism from their technicians for that kind of money.

I smelled a dead rat. As I have raised wood floors I figured it was under the house. It is actually rather hard to find someone who will remove a dead rat as opposed to setting traps for live ones. Hydrex said they would come look to see if they could get to it. He opened the access and barely got in before he told me there was no way he could get to where the smell was coming from. So basically I paid for a service call for him to tell me he couldn't do anything. I don't blame him, I have been told before it is tight under the house. Apparently the dirt has settled back into the grooves others had dug out to get around under there. Hydrex wanted me to pay someone else to dig out a trail and then they would come back and see if they could get to the dead rat. By the time I could have had that done 1) the rat would have dried up and stopped smelling and 2) Why not have the person who did the digging remove the rat? I paid for the service call fee I had agreed to and found other ways to deal with the odor until it was gone. While they did what they said they would I wasn't impressed with a willingness on the part of the company to try anything else.

The guy who came out was fine. He was punctual. I decided to go with them mainly because of their reviews on Angie's List.

They were slightly late in arriving but called ahead. They were very polite and professional, and did a thorough job spraying around the kitchen and house. They indicated that we may have a few ants over the next week or so and then we should be rid of them. That has been the case. Should we have a return of ants over the next year they will return and take care of it for no additional cost. I'll update evaluation as appropriate.

Sam came out and did an inspection of our home and backyard as we suspected we may have roof rats due to fruit trees in our backyard and possible entries to our attic through our roof. He was very honest, letting us know which trees we could trim back to minimize rodent entry, but more importantly, Sam assured us we did not have a rodent issue in our attic or home, suggesting we did not have any need for his actual services. What a relief!

Fabulous company. prompt, organized, reasonably priced and very knowledgeable in the different types of pest and hoe to deal with them.

The experience during the day of the extermination was great. Everything else leading up to that was not as pleasant in retrospect. I first emailed through Angie's List but received no response. I then called and talked to someone on the phone and was able to schedule an appointment right away. However, the person on the phone wasn't very informative and when I asked questions, the answers were not detailed. I also felt like this person was trying to get me off the phone or had no interest in really helping me. This is the first time I have needed this service, so having more information would have been beneficial. For example, I asked them if I needed to spray the whole house because the infestation was happening in one area of the house. The response was and quot;it's only $292 to do your whole house and it's guaranteed for a year.and quot; He didn't offer me any reasons why I would need to spray the whole house (even though I guessed that it's because it is to stop the infestation from spreading elsewhere, I wasn't provided more explanation). I also asked if the spray was safe around my dogs. I was told to keep them away for a half hour. Later, the exterminator said that depending on how much he had to spray and where, that I may consider taking my dogs off the property. I didn't need to do that after all, but if I did, I was not all all prepared for an outing with my two 60lb dogs and my 150lb mastiff. I was also told over the phone to clear all of my lower cabinets but I didn't get any more information on how or where they were going to spray. The day of the treatment, the exterminator told me how and where he would apply the spray. I would have moved few more things out of the way had I known. Finally, I was not warned that I needed to leave the house for four hours. That's kind of a big deal - my husband and I had to hurry up out of there and I needed to work from a local coffee shop half the day. I didn't know I need to be out of the house that long.

So my impressions of the initial interactions with Hydrex degraded a bit once I realized on the day of extermination how unprepared I was. I wish I remembered the exterminator's name but he was super friendly and informative, detailed and loved dogs. This was important to me because I didn't think he would make any recommendations that would be harmful to my own. I have a 3000 sq ft home, single level and he sprayed around the entire interior and some parts of the exterior perimeter, and then followed up with a fogging inside the house (which is why I needed to leave). I think think the coverage it is a good price and I haven't had any issues with those pesky cockroaches since then.

I am usually a very researched consumer and would normally look up how to prepare for extermination to prevent experiences like this. I didn't have the time with having to work long hours, but quite frankly I think the phone operator just missed the basics of customer service. I would still recommend Hydrex because they did a good job. Just ask a lot of specific questions up front over the phone.

They come and spray and it seems like a couple of weeks later, the ants are walking again. When I called them, I said, "The ants are coming in the garage." And they did come out, right at 3:00. I wasn't due for my three month spray, but the ants were coming, a lot of ants. So, they came and re-sprayed and didn't charge me. The pests came back before they were supposed to. I still see a few ants. I'll tell you what we found perfectly. They don't soak the spray down enough. The spray the surface and when it dries off, the pests come out again. They have to spray down and soak the soil, so that it kills. They don't seem to do that. They tell me "It's not allowed. They can't do that. I don't know if it's true or not. They cleaned up the spider webs and everything. That was fine. They came when they said they would. They came on time. They were very professional. Maybe I'll call them next time, but I may talk to somebody else, to somebody who hopefully soaks it a little bit more. I claimed that they didn't allow it. I don't know. I really don't know what's true at all.

The services went fine, they came and strayed. They had to come back a second time to spray.

The guys come out and talk to you - they're so polite at this office! I work with Eric most of the time. They send a post card and then you call to arrange a good day for them to come out. They'll come out and spray; they're really great and take care of the problem. The spray's are all organic. They way they get rid of the wasps is to freeze them and take them away! If you have any problems between visits they'll come out and take care of it no charge. They'll also come in and spray the house but you and your pets have to be out of the house for at least three hours after. They spray for my church too, which is how I found about them!

Found dead cat in the bushes in front of my house on Tuesday.Called Animal Control and was told someone would be out to pick it up.No one came on Tuesday.Called Animal Control again on Wednesday and was told someonewould be out to pick up the dead animal. No one came on Wednesday.Since Animal Control still wasn't here by noon on Thursday, and the smellwas getting worse and worse, I called Hydrex.Hydrex was here in 30 minutes.The dead animal was removed, the area was deodorized and the dead animal was taken by Hydrex to be disposed of.If I ever have this problem again I will not be calling Animal Control, I will callHydrex immediately.I highly recommend the Hydrex at 3073 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach, California : )

I found them of Angie's List. They were nice and professional. They helped me with the pests as well as to carry them outside. I really appreciated their helping hand. They are good and did exactly what I needed. I would use them again in the future.

I am really happy with them. They do termites also, so we have them do the termites. I probably have been using them for eight years or longer. They are excellent and I highly recommend them. Everything is very good. They are very timely, they are prompt and they are always on time. That is why I have had them for eight years. Of course, I would use their services again in the future; I always do. I have a contract with them.

It went well. The person who came out was on time. I learned some things about gophers that I did not know and more importantly got rid of the gophers. They could come back since it is a neighborhood problem but if they do, I will know who to call. I got a bit confused regarding the billing because of the way the original invoice was made out but was treated with courtesy and consideration.

They are FANTASTIC, and come 100% recommended. I have never used any of these words to describe service of any contractor until now. BUT they are not shiny new trucks and uniforms, they don't have pretty soft spoken people (sorry John and Juan) who visit once and never come back. Instead they are hard working people who do the work themselves and have put equipment, staff and responsiveness first. They had the lowest estimate and the best guarantee and have responded immediately every time we asked, and offered comprehensive solutions instead of the least possible to get by on when we called for a repeat of service.

I am shocked and amazed these folks aren't millionaires.

This is a local branch of a California family run company. They are honest, responsive, and empathetic to what you are going through. They explained to us at least 3 times what we needed to do and what the process entailed. They even helped us prepare the house as we had over looked some things. This process of preparing the home, leaving everything but the clothes on your back is a critical step in eradicating this horrible bug. They did exactly what they said they would and made special efforts to protect things in our home unique to us.

The service was quick and done well.
