Guided Elevator

Once the work was underway everything went smoothly and received a clean bill. Small family run operation. It's a bit difficult contacting them and setting appointments. Once Joe Smee arrived with assistant everything went smoothly. But a great deal of patience is required in getting return calls and visit.

We were referred to Joe and heard good things about him. We don't know first hand if he is good or not because Joe does not follow up or return messages. He first looked at our elevator before January 2016. I had to call him several times to get him to come out. After our remodel, we called him back again to do the job he quoted for $3,000.00. He came out on April 22nd and said the job was more detailed and would cost over $6,000.00. We waited and waited for him to get back to us on a repair date. After continuous texts and phone calls to him for two months, he finally texted back that the job would now cost over $9,000.00. As of this date, 7/5/16, Joe has not responded or repaired the elevator. Wish we would have gotten someone else sooner and didn't trust Joe to be a man of his word. Live and learn. Hopefully this review helps you in that you don't make the same mistake.

Superb service.  Responded quickly to initial call.  On time for appointment.  Neat, friendly; cleaned up afterward.  Identified initial fix and then went out of their way to install permanent fix.  Very impressed with the service.

Joe arrived late, but not so late that I downgraded him. He promptly repaired my stair chair lift. He said I needed some new parts and that he would order them. He charged me $165, even though the original quote was $150. Cut to June 2014. No sign of Joe or the repair parts. Then, the stair lift quit working again. Called Joe and asked him to come back and repair. Joe said he'd get back to me. He never called back. I called him several times and left voicemails, but no response. Finally called his office and spoke with his wife. She told me she'd speak with him and get back to me. Never heard back. I would have rated this company a B, without this latest episode, but now I've given them an F. To me, it's inexcusable not to call me back, even if you don't want the job or are too busy.

This vendor was prompt and professional. We were able to get a same week appointment.

Joe came out and very quickly diagnosed what was going on and made the necessary adjustments. This involved adjusting both the second and third stations. Joe and his assistant were very quick and professional. They were neat and respectful and cleaned up the elevator shaft better than it had ever been.
