I would not get within arm?s reach of this company. They were responsible for all the electrical on my house and cut corners, overloaded circuits and left the house a fire hazard. The finished electrical had to be completely redone. I should have been suspicious when they omitted certain fixtures (dining room light), light switches and outlets that were on the plan. They insisted that I had OK?d the omissions which I did not. It makes no sense for me to agree to not have a light in the dining room! Bad got to worse, when they announced they were done. At that point, I went to the circuit breaker box and was unable to decipher their circuit map, so I started mapping the circuits myself. It was a mess as circuits were way overloaded. As an example, the baseboard heater was on the same circuit as two bathroom GFIs and about 10 outlets. Those should be a minimum of three separate circuits. Similar patterns were found elsewhere in the house. The electrician came back and added eight circuits but no new junction boxes or conduits, so everything was overcrowded. His crew also left live wires that almost electrocuted someone. In total they had to redo things I found about 4-5 times. At that point, I just gave up and hired someone else since it wasn?t clear they even knew how to fix the electrical. It?s still not completely to code or to plan, since I would have to start tearing down walls to get the arc fault breakers that were on the plan installed, but at least it?s not a fire hazard any more . I was lucky that I tried to map the circuits otherwise I would have never realized how bad things were. When everything?s covered up, most people don?t think to look under the covers. I?m guessing that?s how they?ve gotten away with shoddy work all these years.
Description of Work: Provided all rough and finished electrical work for a home remodel.
