Tony and his crew were clean and courteous. The helpers are very shy and need to be vocal a bit at least.

Lee was on time to our home to do the estimate and he knew lots and lots about trees and plants and yards and gave us great advice about other trees on our property. He assured us that this would be fast and easy and it sure was. The crew arrived on time on the day arranged and within minutes they were up in the tree and the cutting began. All debris was cleared as it fell and brought to the mulcher truck. They even cut the trunk into fireplace lengths for us and stacked it beautifully. The stump was ground out and dirt filled in and raked to be super neat. It took about 4 hours from start to finish. You would never know there was such a gigantic tree there. Great work. Fast work. Neat work. Worth the time and money. The price was also very reasonable. We're very pleased.

Lee Duncan is the propietor. He is a licensed Arborist. We were impressed by his knowledge of the various trees we have. The office manager is Yessica, who was very pleasant and efficient about scheduling and follow up.
Tony was the foreman of the crew who did the work. He listened carefully to our directions and concerns, making sure they were reflected in the work done. Care of yard lighting etc in yard was very good as was clean up.
We were very pleased with the outcomes. We do not hesitate to recommend this firm to those to whom having an Arborist inspect and supervise tree trimming is important. You pay more but the end result is well worth the premium.

Punctual, polite, responsive, courteous. Lee was amazing, very knowledgeable about what these four trees needed to keep them in shape and healthy. I plan to use this company routinely for my trees

On September 19, 2013, I phoned for an estimate to have a Bottlebrush tree pruned.  Mr. Lee Duncan came out the same day.  Mr. Duncan pointed out a Brazilian Pepper tree that was growing over the wrought iron fence.  He showed me a mature Brazilian Pepper tree that was in my neighbor's yard.  Because of Mr. Duncan's observation and explanation, I decided to have the tree removed from the fence.  Mr. Duncan pointed out another problem tree.  The retainer wall was being forced outward/buckling because of the massive roots of an oversized multi-trunk Star Pine tree.  Removal of the tree was recommended.  I decided to move forward with resolving the two tree problems; rather than having the Bottlebrush tree pruned. 
Later, on the same day, two other tree companies came.  I asked both to carefully inspect the Brazilian Pepper tree,  the Star Pine tree and the Pine tree that had dead stubs.  I encouraged them to take their time because I wanted a consultation regarding their advice regarding the problem trees.   Within a couple of minutes, both told me that the fence would have to be removed so that they could cut down the Brazilian Pepper tree; that the pine tree and the Star Pine tree needed to be toppled 6 feet. 
I choose to use California Western Arborist, initially, because of the company's friendly and professional appearing team in the office; then, because of Mr. Duncan's observation of problems, treatment plans, and cost.  The work was done on September 23, 2013.  A team, under the supervision of Mr. Duncan completed the work in less than 3 hours.  I was very pleased as were my neighbors who commented that the work had been done quickly, neatly, and that it was not obvious that a tree had been removed.

I have used their services for several years. It is delicate, hard work and the work has always been excellent.

I started with them when they were a one man operation. They always leave a tree looking beautiful. They don't cut it off and leave it looking like a bunch of stumps. One time I called them, I was in dire need of assistance because a tree was close to falling on my house. They were very responsive and quickly came out. After they would leave, I would make a point to call and compliment them on their excellent service. They did such a great job, cleaned up after themselves, were respectful, polite, and did exactly what I wanted them to do. I would have no hesitation in recommendation their services.

The work was terrific! I have used them in the past and I have always been very happy with them. They do a beautiful job with their tree lacing method. I have a very large Elm tree in my yard that I have hired them to them trim annually. I have always felt confident when Economy Tree Service has done the job! Lee was terrific and easy to work with. They cleaned up completed when they done. They have exceeded my expectations.

They did a very good job of trimming our big trees such as our Ficus tree and Palm tree. Because we were happy with the work, we hired them again. We had asked them to do a light trim on our Citrus trees and they trim a lot more than we asked for. Because of that work, we did not hire them again. I have mixed feelings about hiring them again.

They gave us a timely estimate before work started and honored it to the penny. They were on time and cleaned up after themselves. They even cleaned out the gutters on my garage that had gotten plugged by leaves from a neighbor's tree--for no extra charge.

Submited estimate. Did the work the next day and sent me the invoice. Smooth.
