About us
Delmae Pool Service specializes in weekly pool service, pool repair, pool supply, chemical delivery, and pool equipment upgrades. Hello I'm Mike and I founded Delmae Pools because I was disgusted with the service I was getting from other pool maintenance companies at a rental property. The pool was always dirty, I could never tell if they showed up, and I was getting constant phone calls from the tenant because something was wrong with the pool. That's when I decided to do it myself. After evaluating the standards in the pool service industry I decided to raise the standard taking Pool Operator courses offered from National Swimming Pool Foundation and the Aquatic Training Institute because I didn't feel that my back yard training was adequate enough to represent myself as a pool professional. We utilize the latest electronic & photometric testing equipment to ensure accurate readings and perfectly balance water chemistry. You get a service report for each service to provide you with a record of the service and make you aware of any findings

Mike arrived right on time. He showed me how to open the filter and advised me about possible issues with the o-ring on the filter and explained that it occasionally needs to be replaced if it is stretched or damaged. He then disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled the filter, showing me the steps and tricks along the way.
He answered all of my questions about replacing my pool pump with a variable speed model to save money and he recommended a different suction-based pool cleaner device when my current model needs replacement.
He also performed a full water chemistry test and explained a few alternative options to the products and techniques I received from the local pool supply store.
Mike was great--very honest, patient, easy to speak with, and he explained all of the details to me that the local pool supply store didn't. He is so much more personable than the teenager behind the counter at the pool supply store who lazily mumbled instructions to me. He had several recommendations for saving money, and offered a few options for different chemicals that were less expensive and more appropriate for my particular pool chemistry issues.
I'm going to try to tackle the pool myself for now, but it's good to know that Mike is a phone call and a few miles away in case I have any questions or need any assistance.
