The demolition of the house went well, however the workers were often on their own without the direction of a foreman. I was promised that there would be a project manager available, which was not the case. I frequently took time off work to be there to evaluate. Often the workers did not show up because they were told to work another job. I had been promised by Mike Johnson that the work would be completed by his staff in a consistent manner. I paid out of pocket expenses to keep a project manager on site to oversee the work. Much of the original work bid by this contractor was clearly out of their scope of practice and was given to other specialists to complete, thus raising the cost of the project beyond the original bid. Because the concrete work on the rear pad was not properly done, the rear yard flooded and water entered the garage. When I asked Mike Johnson to rectify this problem he refused. I hired a landscaping company to install draiins and 2 drywells in the rear yard to handle the water flow issue. The door thresholds were improperly installed by 4:13 Construction crew and I hired another company to replace the 5 thresholds.
