My dog Ike passed away last year at 14 years old. Dr Sam saw Ike for years for skin problems and diet, fatty tumors, and routine care. Very patient, explained things well. Crisp at times when he felt I wasn't complying, but he always listened to me. Ike was loved there. Lori, Barbara and Sandra care so much and do all they can to help pet keepers get the best care. Ike was a robust dog until his last day, when a lung x-ray showed he had lung cancer. Dr Sam let me take him home for a few hours, so my son and I both could rock him and say goodbye. Back at the clinic Dr Sam brought a blanket so we could lay down next to Ike. We had privacy and quiet, and questions kept to a minimum for what we wanted to do, cremate or other. The next day, when I called to make sure Ike wasn't there waiting for me, Barbara gently assured me he was gone. Lori suggested a book, "A Dog's Journey," to help through my grief. With his ashes they included a ceramic paw print they had made before Ike left. Always caring, perfect touches. I highly recommend WVV to any pet keeper.
