Carport (Metal) Building Service
Angel Tamayo, owner of Total Build has scammed $12,500.00 from me. This contractor has a suspended license. Hired through Angi. Not vetted. Has promised three weeks in a row to return all funds. Hired Nov. 17, 2023. Hired on Nov. 17, 2023. Asked for $5,000.00 on Nov. 20, 2023, for carport materials. On Dec. 12, 2023, he asked for another $7,500.00 for more carport materials. I still have no materials and I still have no carport. And because the carport is missing over my back door, and he installed defective shingles on my roof, all the rain is now coming in through the top of door and bottom of door, flooding door entrance and hallway. I told him about this, and he said it's not his problem. Of the $12,500, he says only $6,000 will be returned. Not going to happen. Still no money. And his license was suspended.

Check his references and his licenses, do not sign anything, do not give him more than $1000, do not trust him. Took $12,500 and received nothing in exchange.
