Hi-Performance Plumbing

This review is to sum up the last 4yrs on top of today’s visit. Stephen Hume IS an absolute professional. HE IS the definition of professional. He’s worked with my Mom for countless years. He never takes advantage like most plumbers, electricians, contractors do. His prices are beyond fair. His work IS impeccable. He’s a very hardworking man that is VERY PUNCTUAL!!!!!!! He’s been our personal plumber for 4yrs since we bought our first home. He squeezes us in if we need him on a drip of a hat. I have referred him to two of my best friends. Each had used him for two years and absolutely love him. I just recently gave his reference to my sister in law and they have used him twice and told me they were very pleased with his work. How I put it…. My Mom is one of the most picky customers you can ever come across. NOTHING IS GOOD ENOUGH SHE CSN FIND A FAULT IN MOST WORK DONE BY SOMEONE WORKING ON HET HOME…. If she refers someone…. I LISTEN!!!! I’m so happy she came across Hi-Performance Plumbing because we feel the same as she does. He’s so stinking awesome. Mellow polite gentleman with a very laid back personally and he’s not here for show. He’s not here to dangle a shiny bobbin in one direction as he charged you up the you know what. He tells you hey… that doesn’t need to be done. This does. Which saves time and money. Thanks Stephen!!!! I really appreciate you coming out today. I was really was stressing and now… not anymore. Ty!!!!

Stephen Hume got the job done right the first time.

He fixed it and as far as being punctual, he wasn't exactly punctual but he called like he said he would to let me know when he was coming. He was professional and courteous and did the job as we would hope that he would have.

It was pleasure to work with Steve. He is experienced and knowledgeable about plumbing. He came exactly on time on the day of the estimate and on the actual day of repair.The repair started from 9:00 am and they finished at 1:30pm without any breaks. All trash was removed and the work area was properly cleaned. We had a totally rusted and clogged drain. This was in the crawl space under the bathroom. Steve cut out the old iron pipes and replaced with new PVC pipes. Everything works perfectly now. We are so glad that we had Steve do the job for us. He is a friendly, no-nonsense, no unnecessary work kind of person and his billing for the work was reasonable. He is punctual, courteous and professional. What else can one ask for?

Stephen did an awesome job. He was very responsive about returning phone calls and giving me an estimate. His price was very reasonable and he did the work quickly and cleaned up well. Couldn't be more pleased with him and he will be the only plumber I call in the future.

I used them for over 10 years. They re plumb 2 rental house. Quite reliable and seems to know what they are doing. Doesn't over charge me and I'm with them. Put 2 hot water heaters and they done a lot of work.

Wonderfully. Stephen is an exceptional plumber. While soft-spoken, he is very professional and detail oriented. He knows his stuff and will give you honest advice. His rates are exceptionally fare. It remains a pleasure to work with him. For this job, Stephen assessed the situation, identified potential problem areas, and made all fixes in about an hour. Much of the cost was for the time to remove the toilet and replace the fastening pins.

went very well. I would definitely call Stephen again. In case I did not write a review back in 2009 the same bathroom that Stephen came out and installed a new wax ring was undergoing a complete renovation. toilet was moved shower was completely renovated . As the contractor who was configuring the new hot water piping for the new shower he mixed up the hot and cold water pipes. That caused our water heater to not work well. cold water was messing up the hot water heater. Stephen installed a new water heater and then noticed the piping was incorrect. Stephen even came back to our house to double check he even got on the phone to say that we did not need a new water heater and already discarded our old one. Meaning we paid for a water heater we did not need at that time and that the plumber was at fault. Bottom line home depot reimbursed me $1000.00 for the new water heater. Stephen is very honest and will tell you what you need nothing more. I will definatley call him again. If you live in the southbay area call Stephen he will take care of you.

Again, due to the health issue that has temporarily affected my memory, I only recall that Stephen was professional, fair, competent and had fair prices.  Just a nice guy who knows what he's doing -- not easy to find in a plumber, in my and my husband's experience...so we'll keep calling this company!

I bought my faucets in advance of making the appointment with Hi-Performance.  Steve let me know in advance that the job might take a lot of time because my faucets were wide-spread.  He arrived on time and looked at each of the sinks and immediately pointed out that one of the new faucets would not work on the intended sink.  I ordered a replacement faucet.  He finished three of the faucets on his first visit and took care of the other faucet and tub on his second trip.  When he was replacing the faucet in the master bath he noticed one of the sinks was not fastened to the countertop.  He reinstalled the sink and caulked it too.  It's been a couple days and everything is working great.

water would not stop. steve came next day and took care of it quickly. steve does excellent job. one needs to be patient that he does not get to the phone quickly. he seems to be totally booked and can only review calls at night.

A pipe in the attic started leaking around 9:30 pm. I left messages with about 3 plumbers to see if they could come the next day. Steve was the first to call back at around 8 am the next morning and said he could come at 10 am after another job. He came around 10 and was friendly and professional. He was familiar with this type of leak, saying it is fairly common with the copper pipes and the new additives in the water. He fixed the leak in less than 2 hours and cleaned up well. We had other less pressing issues for him to do and he said he'd call back that night to set up a time. He called and we scheduled for the following afternoon. He installed 2 new shower faucets that were dripping due to worn out washers and replaced a corroded pipe in our water heater. Everything was done in a timely manner and he cleaned up at the end. He listened well and didn't pressure us into any unnecessary work. We will use him again.

The service was very good. We would definitely use their service again. They were responsive, the price was fair, and they were in and out quickly. They cleaned up very well.

I've used High Performance Plumbing before and will always use them again in the future if or when I need a plumber. Steve was on time, appropriately dressed, neat and clean. It took him about 15 minutes to clean out the drain which had been stopped up due to hair. I tried to use some drain cleaner that I purchased at the store but of course that made matters worse since it made a big mess. I definitely recommend High Performance Plumbing to anyone that needs a plumber.

Fast/ immediate on-time survey and written work/cost proposal without proposed work date. Took a few days to schedule work. Arrived as proposed and completed work in record time. Bid and supplied all needed hardware parts. Satisfied with quality job.

It was absolutely great. I described the problem and he was very matter-of-fact and took care of it. A neighbor even saw him and called him over.
