+ -1 moreWhen receiving a quote, we were ensured that if our older house had lead paint, he could work with it safely. However during the work, he did not put tarps down or clean up paint chips as requested, he violated lead safety regulations by dry sanding, and he caused over $20,000 in environmental damage that we are still working on cleaning up a year later. Not only was his paint job sub-par, but he left us with a dangerous environment for our new baby.

+ -1 morePoor quality workmanship. On day 2, Rich called me, as he rushed to his next job, and stated the work was completed. Additionally, he did not wait for my representative to view the work, and since the tenant wasn't home, he locked up and left. When the tenant returned home, they reported Rich had broken the toilet seat during repairs, the subfloor repair was un-level with a ridge in the center of the floor, walls & cabinets demo marks and dirty, baseboard was cut improperly & piece missing, dirty, and gaps. Rich was not called back to repair the floor, replace baseboard and clean up the work area. We did not want him to cause further damage. He was paid as agreed, less the cost to replace the broken toilet seat.

+ 0 moreRichard provided excellent service and did a very professional job. The wood beams look like new and you can barely notice the seams where the new wood was connected to the existing beams. I originally planned to have him only repair the dry rot on the wood beams, however, I liked his work so much that I had him do additional work as I described above. He was always prompt in each of his several visits to our house, even working on a Sunday in order to finish our project by his deadline. I will be sure to call upon Richard for my next home remodeling project. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: I needed to have a lot of dry rot repair done to the exterior of our house prior to painting. There were numerous wood beams extending from the house and located below the roof line that were rotted so bad that they had to be sawn back 2-3 feet to the good wood. He then used wooden dowels to connect new sections of wood beams onto the existing beams. There was also extensive dry rot damage on the top of a pillar that supports the roofing on our front porch and several other areas of wood trimming that he replaced.

They were very polite. They were on time. He seems like a really nice fellow. There are no negative comments I can think of.

+ 6 moreIt was Richard that helped me realize my dream in my store, I would give an idea of what I wanted and he takes it from there and has the best ideas. My backyard is now almost complete and I LOVE it!!! There is NOTHING this man CANNOT do, his catch phrase is "piece of cake" He is always ALWAYS punctual and his prices are unbeatable. Honestly from my heart this man is my go-to-guy He is the hardest working man and always ALWAYS makes sure the that I am 100% happy. My husband and I wouldn't think about calling anybody else, and I can promise that once you use him he will be your go-to-guy also!
Description of Work: I opened a new store in Elk Grove, Ca and I needed somebody to start from the ground floor. I needed somebody with vision to help me put this project together. Richard painted the entire inside with a beautiful chair railing to seperate the colors also put in linoleum on the floor. I couldn't find a cash counter that fit my needs so Richard custom built one for me that is PERFECT! I bought a huge chandelier from Costco and he hung it for me which was quite a feat since he had to build scaffolding all around it AMAZING!!!! Since I am an Antique store I wanted to do some crazy stuff so Richard came up with an idea to hang some furniture from the ceiling!!! He hung a sofa (which has since sold) a cute antique desk WITH chair, a bed and numerous other items. The list is to long to tell here everything this talented man has done. After a year or so I decided that I wanted my back yard remodeled, and I knew the perfect person! He is putting in pavers, fixing my fountain to work, doing concrete, tearing out big trees, fixing my fence so my cats cant get out ( if you live in the city and have cats this is a MUST) also he putting in sprinklers and drip systems also solar lights all around so its very dramatic at night-BEAUTIFUL.

+ 7 moreGreat! I'd noticed mold on the wall and knew something might be wrong, but had no idea the extent. A couple studs in the garage wall were completely rotted through, which was immediately apparent once Rich took the sheetrock down. He completely fixed everything in two days, including ensuring the drainpipe won't cause similar water damage in the future.
Description of Work: Minor roof repairs from water damage - assessed damage, bought materials, and fixed both roof and garage wall where there had been extensive water damage. Found the right paint in garage and painted results. Ran new drainpipe to avoid future damage. Sealed a leak in a pipe. Reinforced a shelving unit that had rotted from water damage.
