Duran Yard and Tree Service

Did an amazing job removing a tree and stumps in our backyard! Thank you Sal!

Do not use this tree service. Agreed to $1500 for a day's work. Neighbor asked him to cut 1 of our trees & they cut it down without asking us! Asked him who was paying the bill, us, not the neighbor. Then proceeded to top trees we didn't want done. 6 hours into the job, still hadn't cut a single tree he was suppose to. Told him I wasn't paying for his 6 wasted hours. Came back today to do the job we hired him for. Demanded $3000 for the work. Got into huge fight with my husband who paid him $2500. I would have paid him the $1500 and thrown him off the property.

He was late to the initial appointment we set for the estimate. He called when he was about 45 minutes late and said he would be arriving shortly, then took another 30 minutes to show up. When we asked if we could pay by credit card he said yes, but there would be an extra fee and he would need to make a special trip to bring his wife. No one came on the date agreed upon for service. When I called I was told he forgot to write it down and it was too late to do it that day. Two men arrived the next morning to perform the tree services. As I left the house a limb fell on my car when I was pulling out of the driveway. Neither man said anything about it or checked to see if there was damage to my car (there wasn't, thank goodness). We were never given any paperwork for the estimate or services. This past Sunday morning he and his wife showed up unannounced looking for payment. I would never recommend this unprofessional company.

I got two estimates from other companies, both of which I thought were really high. Then I called Sal Duran. He showed up right on time to give me a free estimate. He was extremely friendly and professional and his estimate was much lower than the others I had received. I hired him to do the job. On the day he was to do the work, he again showed up on time, did a great job trimming all four of the trees back and cleaned everything up. I was very pleased and would not hesitate to hire him again.

I joined Angie's list just to find someone to trim my palm trees. Getting someone to come out just to give an estimate was nearly impossible. I called several businesses on Angie's list, leaving multiple messages. Only three of them returned my calls. One gave an extremely high bid. One didn't even show up.
Mr. Duran was great. He showed up on time for the estimate. And gave me a very fair bid. They even completed the work 1 day ahead of schedule. The work was professionally done. They did a great job cleaning up. I intend to use them again on other projects. I am very satisfied. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family.

They give free estimates. I have been using Duran Yard And Tree Service for several years. I use him three times a year. He does tree trimming, removal of stumps and grinding pruning fruit trees, yard cleanup and trash hauling. I have ivy growing over the garage and he comes in and shaves it for me. He also prunes the trees in the back yard. I have a big yard. I have also used him to remove trees from the back yard.
