It was a two-part purchase. Part 1 was fine. There were no problems. I am waiting for part 2. They came out and they did a good job. They were on time. They did everything they needed to do. I was happy. The second part is my heating which I will set up this month. There were no unexpected issues. I really liked them. I felt they did a good job. I definitely would use them again. The person on the phone was very professional. The guy, who came out to do the work, was professional. They were the most professional they could be. There wasn't any major problem.

I have used this company for a number of years. They always show up on time, do the work quickly, explain what they did and what they see. Never any pressure to have extra work done. My home is older and the units need to be replaced soon, but they keep them working and tell me to let it go as long as they are working, but just be prepared for the future. They seem trustworthy.

Our first meeting with Blackwell came while we were having the first excessive heat wave. We noticed that we were having a problem getting cool air from the unit so called right away as we knew the heat wave was expected. We set up an appointment as soon as we could be fit into their schedule which was on 7/03/2013. Unfortunately, other people got hit at the same time as we did which caused a delay by one day in our appointment. We have ceiling fans in all rooms so we were able to cope. The repair man, Roger, got here rapidly the following day. He was very apologetic, very professional, explained everything to my husband, and due to the coil leaking slowly, he was only able to recharge the unit until the coils on order at their shop, came in. The office called on Monday, the 29th, and set up the appointment for the replacement of the coil between 2-5PM today, 7/31/2013. Roger was finished with his earlier appointments and called us to see if it was okay for him to come earlier which very polite and was fine with us. He was again very professional, explained what he was doing, and we learned that we have a new 5 year warranty on the replacement coil. He recharged the unit again so we are basically living with a new air conditioner. We definitely would use Blackwell again should we have any problems in the future.

Went okay I guess I could not get on the roof to check and make sure he was doing okay. He was very late and we did not get a call but he said ran all the tests everything okay. Did not try to sell me anything.

It went very well and he worked fast and fixed the problem with furnace quickly. He also inspected everything and made sure everything was working well. I will definitely use this company in the future for inspection and maintenance of my heating and air. They were very professional and seem like a very honest company.

Instead of having it on downstairs, we could have it upstairs only. It is called dual heating air conditioning, so we don't have to use the heating or cooling upstairs and it wouldn't go on downstairs. I would recommend this company. The price was reasonable. We are going to use them again, we are going to get a water heater from him.

They were very reliable about coming when they said that they would. They got the work done. They worked in a lot of cities and had a lot of codes. So, the electrical connection part was not meeting the satisfaction of the code inspector in San Jose. They came back as many times as it took to fix it until the inspector was happy. They took care of that and there was no problem. Eventhough, they were good about coming back and fixing it for the inspector, I thought that they should have been a little bit more on top of what San Jose would expect. Their price was within a reasonable range but was the lowest of the three bids that I got. Hence, their price was very good.

We bought the air conditioner through Home Depot and the actual company that came out to install it was Blue Mountain Air. They were able to make changes as needed because this is a town home; so they needed to run the air conditioning line inside the home rather than the outside due to the Home Owners Association. There is nothing for them to improve upon because they were able to accommodate everything that was needed and there was no problem whatsoever. They were great.

I saw their advertisement in the paper for a furnace tune-up for $89. They had 15 bullet points that they came out and did. They are local. They were great. They came out a couple of days after I called. The technician went through everything. He cleaned the heater and pulled out a filter that had been in there for 100 years. He told me about the whole filter system and how I could get a particular kind of grill for the ceiling to put the filter into. We haven’t got that and I want to get that. So I liked that. He explained everything really well and it was really great. They seemed to be efficient. I would use their services in the future too.

I had more knowledge than the licensed contractor. I have had more than 30 years experience though in handy work. It was supposed to be 4 days, it took 8 months. One guy got sick, one guy quit, and then the 3rd time finally hooked it up(after a month of working). They said they hooked it up and it was cold in the house. All the hot air was going out and not in the house. I refused to pay the bill until they finished it. They brought in the son-in-law (very nice) and he agreed with me but he did not have the authority to make a decision. Finally they gave him the authority and he did it for us and it was working. Communication and technician sucked. There equipment sucked too.

The installers were timely and cleaned up before completing work each day. The installation ran one day overtime. The work has yet to pass inspection and it has been installed for a month. The inspector was last here yesterday and stated that the install was clean, but it was missing a couple of things, like a work platform and catwalk from the attic access to the furnace. There were also some issues with the electrical conduit to the condenser unit. This was the second inspection, the company was supposed to submit the gas line diagram to the inspector for approval, but they did not. So the inspector had to return to approve the gas line and will need to come back at least one more time for the approval of the work. The air conditioning worked fine early in the summer when it was cooler, but the first day it hit 100, it could not cool the house to a temperature cooler than 85. Now on an average day of about 84 it cannot cool below 76. The company initially ignored my request for service, but I was persistent in my pursuit of accountability. They finally scheduled someone after two weeks of complaints. They sent one technical crew and another to test the ducts. Both crews said everything was technically correct and the company called me with the good news. Sadly, the system was only working on paper. I explained to the retrofit coordinator that the temperature had been climbing since the techs left. It was 76 when they left and had climbed to 78 an hour after they left. The temperature climbed to 82 by 7:00 PM and it was only 84 outside at that point. If it cannot perform on an average day, I will really have some issues in the thick of summer. I have come to find out that the contractor sized the unit by the square footage of the house, which is not the correct method. According to much of what I read, a load calcuation should be completed. I have had other contractors tell me that the unit is undersized, but BMA asserts that they have never undersized a unit. However when I requested that they come to complete a load calculation based on the correct schedule, they refused. Makes me wonder why they refuse when they are so certain that they sized it correctly. As of this point, which is four weeks out from the completion date, I am still without a fully functioning air conditioner.

Blue Mountain installed air conditioners in my rental units, and house for the first time. They also replaced non-efficient heaters. I was disappointed with the air conditioning in the main house, I thought we should have bought a bigger unit. Since it was the first time the houses had an air conditioner, there was a lot more work than normal. They should have done more precise masking of workers and area, where they were removing asbestos. It was kind of sloppy. I would use them again.

I think they did a good job. I don't have any issues with it, everything is working fine. I asked them for some follow-up. They made a few mistakes along the way but they quickly corrected them and did everything I asked them to do. There were a few issues with time. They said they would be here and didn't sometimes. I would give them 4 out of 5.
