Communication excellent:  Geoff returns email & phone messages promptly; foreman speaks good english
Price:  very reasonable, lowest bid on my job and also neighbors
Quality of work:  foreman is perfectionist; he made sure some pavers were reworked for proper alignment; small seam in grass was
                  nailed, not stitched; good match to old grout on repair of stone steps
Promptness:  Showed up on time and finished jobs promptly
Follow up:  Promptly came to fix capped off broken riser under new artificial grass which they had inadvertently  broken removing            existing old natural grass.
Hire again?  Definite yes and now getting bids on landscaping new home.

Swanson's  Landscaping operates like a well oiled machine. They have crews for each stage of the construction who specialize in their respective area. Each crew was prompt, professional and very courteous. Their work ethic is like nothing I have seen before (9am to 7pm in some cases). Just watching them work, it was clear that they treated my project as if it were their own - sweating the details and not rushing to finish the job. We had our backyard covered in flagstone with a retaining wall around one corner and a couple of planting areas against the house. The very first thing they did was trench the whole yard to provide proper drainage. My yard is 25'x25' and they put in 8 drains...I don't have to worry about El Nino rains. We let Geoff pick the trees and plants and he did a wonderful job of mixing up the colors and choosing drought resistant plants. Also included in our job, they installed path lighting in the planting areas and step lights in the retaining wall - a very nice touch that I didn't expect. I saw a lot of our neighbors using fly by night landscape folks (we are in a new development), but for me, I wanted the comfort and security of using a licensed, insured contractor that doesn't look for shortcuts to save money on a project. Swanson's is booked out a while, but Geoff assured me it was worth the wait and he was right. Anyone that can start right away can't be that good. I can't say enough good things about Swanson's Landscape, I would highly recommend them to anyone with a project to be done.

Overall it went very well. There were a couple of issues at the end that never got fully resolved. Namely some cracks in the concrete that showed up a few months later. The vendor said it was due to settling and that the re-bar would hold it in place. He did offer to seal the crack, but i thought that would look worse. I believe the concrete dried too quickly and that maybe there was a problem with the mix. I would have like to have gotten that section re-done, but I had too much going on to have to pressure him to do it. 
Other than that the job turned out great and I would use Swanson again. You just need to be a bit pushy to get the details some times.

On time, great value. There was one leaky valve. They were out the next day and fixed it right away. Nice customer service.

Swanson's Landscaping is good local company. The individuals that come and work are very hard working. All work was performed and completed. There were a few misunderstandings but all things were addressed and completed to my satisfaction. All and all this is a good company to hire.

these guys were better than i expected, on time every day, never missing a day. really listened to what we told them we wanted ! fast and did a great job tons of people were stopping and asking who did the work. really makes our front yard look way better

Geoff and his team are very professional and trustworthy. I highly recommend them.

They did excellent slate work. They were very professional and when there was a problem they came back to fix it. There was a couple items they had over looked. I had several estimates and they were the lowest I had. The people working on the job were very helpful in working with us on the design.
