HACIENDA POOLS

We are so happy with Rick at Hacienda Pools for making our pool a dream come true. After looking through several sites that compared different pool builders, we narrowed our list to 5 and set up appointments. He was on time for our appointment and laid out the good , bad and the ugly of pool design, building and maintenance , and really encouraged questions, and was very upfront with the possible pitfalls of owning a pool. In other words, he gave us a complete picture of owning a pool and didn't shy away from problems others have had with a pool. We also discussed spa types and sizes, the type of filtering system to use and the advantages/disadvantages of a salt water chlorine generating system, as well as solar water heating systems.The other pool builders only emphasized a "perfect scenario" for our pool and any questions or concerns we had were usually just brushed off or we weren't really happy with their response. Rick then had us meet a pool designer and after several modifications, we were happy with the design. We actually liked his design so much that when the other builders came for an estimate, we asked them to use the plans from Ricks designer to base their estimate. We received the quotes from other builders and though others have written that Rick is usually more expensive, we found that his estimate was right in the middle, with one other builder much more expensive than him and another only slightly lower. His quote sheet is extremely detailed, with every phase of the build and its cost clearly laid out. Other estimates from other builders were not nearly as detailed and weren't as clear. After about a month of interviewing all the pool builders and calling references, we went with Rick and we started the build soon after.. All through the process Rick kept us informed of when work would be done, what exactly they were doing, and he would take us to various suppliers to choose what materials/ equipment we wanted. If there were any concerns, we got either a call or an email within a day but we would usually have a response within an hour. We couldn't ask for a more responsive contractor. This past spring was especially rainy for our part of California, but the delays were kept to a minimum, and if one aspect of the build was weather dependent and couldn't be completed, Rick called another subcontractor to do a job that wasn't weather dependent. Overall, nearly everyday someone was doing something and the project was pretty much on schedule. All the subcontractors were very courteous and professional and always cleaned up after a days work. The project went exactly as planned and didn't go over budget. Once the pool was completed and the landscapers started their work, Rick went over equipment functions and pool maintenance and set us up with a local pool maintenance company. He also emphasized that just because he is finished building the pool, if there were any problems to let him know. He definitely backs up all his work and we have one less thing to worry about with him. We couldn't have asked for a better pool builder and were totally satisfied with Rick and Hacienda pools service.

Rick and his team were very professional, always here when they said they would be and always avoiding any surprises. The trades Rick uses are all very qualified and do the job right the first time. Rick manages each stage of the project personally and was here each day to make sure progress was being made. Our expectations were exceeded with our new pool and spa!

Hacienda started their work on time, kept us updated through every stage. Since we were doing a complete makeover of the exterior of our house including pool, landscaping, pavers, stucco, and painting (I'll be submitting reviews of those companies as well), we have recent experience with many contractors. Once work was under way, Rick proved to be an invaluable resource, helping us synchronize the other contractors' start times (extremely important), and offering guidance throughout the makeover process. Rick was always generous with information but never pushy. They finished their work on time and on budget. This is a top-quality company that's very responsive. Our calls were always returned promptly. There were initially a few bugs with the computer panel but Rick was "on it" until they were all fixed. The end result is much better than we could have imagined. Can't say enough about how happy we are with Rick and Hacienda Pools. If only all of our other contractors were like him!

OUTSTANDING WORK DONE IN A TIMELY & PROFESSIONAL MANNER. FOLLOW UP WORK NEEDED WAS NEVER A PROBLEM- IF WE WERE NOT HAPPY ABOUT SOMETHING IT WOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF IMMEDIATELY. QUALITY OF WORK WAS OUTSTANDING.

ONE OF THE MOST PLEASANT CONTRACTING SERVICES I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY ARE WILLING TO WORK WITH YOU AND ARE RESPONSIVE. THEY MADE IT FUN!

WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE JOB THIS COMPANY DID. THEY WERE VERY THROUGH, AND LEFT NO ROOM FOR MISTAKES. ALL PROBLEMS WERE ADDRESSED PRIOR TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE POOL. THEY WERE GREAT.
