flooring contractor, hardwood floor
 + 0 moreDarin Ford and his sub-contractor and team did an outstanding job on the floors. He met with me several times to look at samples, and referred me to a flooring showing room in San Francisco, where we picked out an engineered floor style. Some contractors require you to use only flooring they provide, but they were ok ordering and installing the style we liked. He suggested that we glue down the floors even though it was harder (floating floors can move over time and can gap over non-flat areas), which was a good choice.
Description of Work: Installed engineered hardwood flooring in two condo units totaling 3,400sq-ft. The $23.6K cost included the flooring, which was around $16K. The job included removal of carpets, which included difficult removal of industrial glue used to glue down carpets to metal stairs.
