From the very beginning, I knew Norman and his crew were going to do a great job and they really came through on my prediction. We have a multi level house built into the side of a hill and we wanted 3 different, weather resistant colors to be added. The house had not been painted in over 50 years and was in desperate need of some serious pre-work. Norman's guys were on time, sensitive to our neighbors and just knocked the job out of the park. Even when it became obvious that the job was going to last longer than originally intended, the workers were never anything less than extremely professional. They were a credit to Norman and we ar so grateful for their work. In short, we love the outcome and we loved the way Custom Painting handled our business. We cannot recommend them enough!

From the start to finish Norman exemplified great customer service. Walked us through and kept us updated on start day. On that day showed up and gave us an “agenda” of what was to be accomplished. This was true of power wash, priming and first and second coat. Estimate was spot on and the compliments from neighbors gave us a great deal of pride. A+ overall

You have found the right company to paint your house! Custom Painting Inc was a wonderful experience. They have an excellent answering service and very shortly the owner Mark returned my call and set up an visit within 2 days. Mark the owner came out  and went over what we needed and gave us a written estimate ON THE SPOT! The estimate was the very reasonable so we accepted his offer ON THE SPOT. He was very professional and personable. I loved the fact that he showed me the Certificate of Liability Insurance his company carried and that they use their own employees to do the work.  Within 2 days he provided us with a schedule to power wash the house (it took about 2 - 3 hours to complete) and the days to return and paint the house (it took 2 days to paint our 2 story 2200 square foot house exterior). Later, I was impressed that Mark kept us informed of changes in the schedule and we were able to work it into our schedule easily. Mark left us a color folder to select what we wanted for our house. I was happily that he used Kelly Moore quality paint. Mark himself came out the day of the power wash and the first day of painting to introduce the actual crew of three. The power wash day was delayed due to freeway traffic but it was completed the same day.  The painting started about 8:00 am on the dot. They worked fast, professional and were easy to talk with. I was impressed to see their skill in masking windows, doors, door knobs, and concrete areas (I could never have done it that accurately or fast). The coverage of the stucco was totally complete, no runs, yet all the stucco crevices and edges were covered well. I was happy to see that they did 2 coats on the trim and 4 coats on the front door. It is rare to find a company that is more than ones expectations. I recommend Custom Painting Inc to family, friends, and anyone.  I am totally happy with the results and the house is like new again. This the company you should use!

Mark was very professional in discussing the painting of our house.  The price was higher than our other estimates but was still in the ballpark.  The main reason we did not choose Custom Painting for our job was the scheduling.  They have a standard schedule of power washing on a Friday and then doing the painting the following week, and he was scheduling about 3 weeks out.  Normally I would like that sort of precision scheduling but it just didn't work out for us at this time.

Very disappointed with their service. They estimated a full day's work to paint a small bathroom. Took only 2 hours to actually paint. The painter said that it was clear the estimate was wrong in terms of how much work it actually took and would talk to the office to see if they could adjust the price. The office held firm that I agreed to the estimate and would not adjust the price even after they clearly misjudged the amount of work (by a factor of 4 -- job actually took 2 hours vs. the 8 estimated). The actual work is OK (just OK). If you want to pay $200+ per hour for an OK paint job, go ahead and use these guys. I'll use someone else next time.

"We estimated to be at the job for 2 days, we never said we would be there all day. The member agreed to the written estimate totaling $840.00. Our painter was there 7 hours on the first day and 2 hours on the second day. Custom Painting charges 65.00 per hour for labor. This rate covers labor, insurances, overhead, and profit. Materials, sundries (paper, tape, and patching materials) and fuel for our vehicles are not part of the hourly rate. Our painter was on site for a total of 9 hours and we do charge 1 hour to move a painter from one job to another in the duration of the day. We purchased 2 gallons of paint for the bedroom and 1 gallon of paint for the bathroom. We also used about half a gallon of primer. Labor 10 hours = 650.00 Materials = 91.00 Sundries = 18.00 Fuel for truck. 42.00 Total cost = 801.00 Custom Painting Inc. tries to give complete and fair estimates. I believe that our estimator was within the ethics of a fair estimate. Please remember that the member did agree to the price on the written estimate that we presented before we were hired and before we started the work. He had every opportunity to seek out other estimates from our competitors. We never added any more money to the original price of 840.00. We must remember that this was an estimate. If our labor and materials would have gone over the estimated price Custom Painting would never ask for more money to cover our overhead and labor because that would be unprofessional. Custom Painting has been in business for over 25 years and we have done many jobs for homeowners and he would be the first customer to ask for money back on an ESTIMATE and he would defiantly be the first to lodge a formal complaint. Please try to remember that this is not about 159.37 it’s about the principle and fairness of an estimate and fair trade."

We just had our house painted by Custom Painting about 2 weeks ago and they did a fabulous job. The men did a great preparation job and then painted the two colors on our home after it was dry. We were very pleased with the outcome and the men were very professional and did not leave us any mess to clean up. We were really pleased with the price and have recommended them to our family and friends.
