They are not available to reach by phone or email so that I cannot discuss my problem with them.  They are a terrible service.

I have repeatedly asked the company to call live and give us an appox. time when the tech will arrive. Instead they give you a robo call, the night before, just give you a ten hour time span. You can call the company and they may return your call once after a dozen calls, if you are lucky.

On Thursday the tech showed up and rang our bell and asked what he was to spray for. According to the salesman they are supposed to spray the entire outside of our property. I watched from each window of our house. The tech DID NOT spray anything above three feet. He did not spray the eves of the house, the lawn, the driveway, neither side of our house, our patio nor our patio cover. Then he started to pack up and I went outside and politely asked him to spray our lawn. He said he had. I told him I was watching him the entire time and he had not sprayed the lawn. Then he got very aggressive and started swearing at me, and said he didn't have to spray anything he didn't want too. I told him I was going to report him to his company. And he said go f...... ahead. They don't give a sh.t, and they won't do anything.

And he was right I left them several voicemails five days ago, and the company still has not called me back.

DO NOT USE Alterra Pest Control from Livermore. They do not know the meaning of customer service.

We used this particular service just over one year. With the exception of the first service appointment, the service seemed lackluster, with little evidence of focus or dedication. The wipe downs of the house were missing cobwebs and egg sacks, and the chemicals used to treat the house pooled in places on the patio and stained outdoor furniture. When spraying, obstructions, like chairs, were not moved out of the way, these things were either sprayed around or under. Calls to the managing office in Livermore were unsatisfactory to me. The office staff seemed quite inexperienced over the phone, and was prone to making defensive or argumentative responses. Their attitude led me to believe that they are probably very used to receiving complaints. During their initial sales call, they claimed to be a local company which I assumed meant they were from my town. Alas, they were not. We have terminated our service with Alterra and are seeking a pest prevention company with employees that are more experienced.
