It's been excellent experience. The vet doctor is very patient and good with the animals. She did an excellent job.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Mathews and her team. I have had cats all my life and have seen my fair share of veterinarians, some good, some bad and some just OK.
The team at Altamont Cat Hospital is fantastic!
We have seen them in the past, had to put down our very ill 17 year old kitty. They were so compassionate and patient with us.
We now have 2 new kitty cats and one of them has been having stomach problems.
The last time I brought her in for a check-up they could not get her out of the cat carrier because she was so scared.
They did not want to traumatize her so Dr. Mathews made a house call (we live up the street).
So when I had to make this appointment I was a little nervous that they would not be able to check her out but they did a great job, and treatment is the works.
They really take their time, with the cat and with you. Dr. Mathews spends so much time talking with you, gives you so much information and helps you make the best decision when it comes to different options for treatment. She has so much knowledge - I learn something new each time I see her. I will say it again, she is the best, you can be assured that you and your cats will be well taken care of.

They are really great and compassionate. They got us right in and their prices were reasonable. They are very accommodating. For them it is not about the dollar it is about taking care of the animals. When my cat needed to be fixed they actually suggested another program that would be more cost effective for us. They treat each patient or situation specific to the situation rather than a check list.

Dr. Melissa Mathews DVM,MS, is an extremely caring veterinarian who has responded to emergencies on her days off. She is always thorough in communicating detailed information both verbally and in writing. She is knowledgeable about the latest medical advances and how they may be of value to her feline patients. She and her staff are friendly, caring and efficient. Feral cats are not the easiest patients to work with but they ALWAYS leave the clinic in a cleaned cage with some canned food to eat.
